This guy is horrible everytime i listen to him these days. It's as if what he saids is the opposite of reality.

    Anyone else on board?

"this fight is going exactly how i expected it would"
    "he's fighting a perfect fight"

He sucks. I also noticed how he hates floyd mayweather. He just refused to give floyd any credit, especially during the hatton fight. He is very biased sometimes.

At least this thread starter admits this thread is not official. LOL

But me, I love Steward. Second to none trainer and good commentator.

That's one of the main reasons why i don't like him. It's like he tries so hard to twist reality and favor one fighter and bash another fighter. I'm watching JT/Pavlik 2 and Emanuel is showing clear bias against JT. What a loser. :nut

During Kessler/Andrade, Steward said Kessler was going to be in for a rough night. Before the decision was announced, he said the fight went exactly as he expected.

And at the end of the Hatton/Mayweather fight, he said Floyd would either look his absolute best, or lose.

Come on Emmanuel - give me a damn break.

Like the whole "the fight is going towards the way ricky wants it to", and when hatton was getting thrashed it was "he's bringing the best out of floyd". Every now and then he is very insightfull, but it's usually the same bull**** quotes over and over.

Yeah, that fight is another example of his moronic commentary. Up until the 6th or so when PBF took control, Steward kept saying this is Hatton's type of fight. Only until it was so obvious even to a blind man that PBF was in control did Steward say something like, "Hatton needs to move his head more?" Talk about doing a 180. Maybe he didn't see the crisp and flush right hand leads that PBF was landing regularly from the first round on. :nut

Steward is a great trainer and commentator, but HBO has purchased his common sense and put it on a shelf.

His asking BHOP and Winky to retire live on the air (A mere 2 months before JT got starched) was beyond shameful. :-(

Steward always seems to have a favorite or agenda without a likeable persoanlity to make up for it.
