Marvin Hagler would have beaten Monzon. Hector Camacho would have probaly decisioned Julio Cesar Chavez at 130 pounds.

-Tyson would stop Lewis, Holmes, and both Klitschko brothers under 8 rounds.
-Joey Giardello is a top 10 ATG middleweight.
-Holyfield has been grossly overrated overtime
    -Sumbu Kalambay is vastly underrated
-Pacquiao and Mayweather are far from being all time greats

An up to 20 Lbs weight disadvantage to an opponent is not that impresive in the grand scheme of things.
The size diiffrance that matters is length is in height and arm length.

Historicaly speaking light welterweight is overrated. Made up with a few expetions of gutys who could not cut it at lightweight or welterweight.

I've always thought it to be one of the stronger sub-divisions. With talent like Locche, Cervantes, Pryor, Chavez, Tsyzu, et al.

Some would say Pryor and Chavez were both better at lightweight.

On a serious note Pryor just couldn't get a title shot at lightweight that's why he fought Cervantes.

historically speaking, smaller fighters get too much credit for fighting bigger fighters specifically, middleweights vs heavyweights

first, the size differential was often far smaller than it is today (sometimes 20-25 pounds). If a 160 pound man beats a 180 pound man, it isn't the same as if a middleweight today fights the klits (course, no one is doing that in modern times so the point is a bit moot)

two, the quality of the larger man should be factored in far more than it is. a heavyweight of mediocre quality is just a slower, bigger target

I give credit to beating someone 20lbs heavier, not because 'heavyweight' now brings gargantuans to mind.

that's fair and any MUCH smaller fighter deserves credit for overcoming a size difference against a skilled opponent. pac's recent work is incredible, regardless of the weight he put on he's much, much smaller than guys like cotto and margarito. the same for spinks against holmes or jones against ruiz
