One big punch after looking knackered doesn't prove he still has it

I like how low Pov gets, must have been going a fair mph when it hit those whiskers.

It was perfectly executed which implies he still has something.

He said before the fight that even if he loses he won't retire.

He is one of those guys--this is who he is. He'll fight until he is 45-46 and can no longer beat anyone vaguely credible.

IMO Povetkin lost a step already, but he is still operating at a high enough level to be top 10.

Retire now? He wants to go on, just booked himself another 7 digit payday, if he beats White again he guaranteed a mandatory shot at the WBC belt and possibly an 8 digit payday.

Apart from that, who wouln't wanna see bouts against Ortiz, Parker, Chisora, Pulev? I m all for it

I find it surprising that Pulev and Povetkin haven't fought already

Not suprising if you've actually followed Pulev. Only terribly out of shape, worn out, shot to bits, short notice no hopers are his forte.

I honestly didn’t see what everyone else saw from dillian in the fight I thought they were all close rounds but povetkin had the 3rd, I’ve long been a dillian whyte fan but iam a fan of the knockout more than anything else and I enjoyed that, it was everything I want to see in knockout, you can argue all day about how well whyte was doing but he was hit with a picture perfect trademark from povetkin. I was surprised with the knockdowns whyte scored I didn’t see that much in them tbh, I don’t doubt for a minute that they hurt povetkin but I didn’t think they were that heavy or clean. Povetkin looked nothing like as sharp as he did against Joshua. It was a special knockout but I don’t think the performance makes him relevant and he knows it, the rematch is going to be his last fight I would think. But he will treasure that knockout just like we will lol

He still seems to have a number of his skills still operating at near peak efficiency, but a lot of his other skills seem to be degraded as well. His once-devastating left hook looked really slow and telegraphed, and he couldn't seem to keep his balance while throwing it. His feet seemed quite stuck in mud as well, which will make it hard for him to land his close-up shots in future against anyone that can use their reach against him.

He reminds me a bit of Tyson now, relying on one shot to end the show.
