Boxers licensed by the BBB of C are randomly drug tested all year round even when they are not scheduled to fight, with drug testers rocking up and their houses.

USA needs to adopt this policy where juicing is a big problem.

Definitely. But the whole issue is -besides the cost- that the US doesn't have one single licencing comittee, and another probably that they rather bury their head in the sand knowing the extend of the dope use among US boxers.
Some German TV networks have demanded the real OSDT from the boxers who are under their contract for many years now, so maybe the US networks can take a page out of that book.
HBO, Showtime and wathever demanding real testing might help a lot.

I've always assumed Andre Ward's unwillingness to fight outside of California is due to the Californian state athletic commissions lax attitude toward drug testing.

Nah, don't think so. Conte's methods have been proven to beat full OSDT so if he's using he probably isn't too worried about that.

Ward is a disgrace to the sport of boxing with his PED use.

Unlike Calzaghes cocaine use, your statement is false and unproven. :nono

Cocaine isn't a PED and Ward admitted his guilt by refusing to take the test. :deal

Cocaine is a banned and illegal substance, this is a fact. And Ward has taken every test required of him. Please dont try to change THE FACTS to suit your agenda.

Ok, but the fact remains that Ward has never tested positive for anything illegal while Zags has been caught using coke. So why blast one fighter who has never been guilty and stick up for another who has? My point isnt about either fighter, its about the OP's bias.

Zaggers didn't get caught using cocaine until after he retired. Ward is using Performance Enhancing Drugs during in his career. Hence his reluctance to take the test and his unwillingness to compete outside the corrupt Californian State Athletic Commission. :hi:

That's like asking the entire EU to agree to a policy. Will never happen. Too many states with their own boards. Definitely needed and way overdue.

Zags shows a pattern of behavior Ward has never shown. If he could use illicet drugs now who knows what he could have done in his career? As far as Ward....zero evidence hes ever used PED's and zero evidence the CSAC is corrupt and protecting him. Sorry son, you fail.
