It was a miss-conception. It was the other way around. The US PPVs of the Pacquiao-Hatton fight actually out-sold the US PPVs of the Mayweather-Hatton fight.

There are lots of sources estimating the total number of US PPVs of the Pacquiao-Hatton fight however most of them where from a forum or articles just posted only days after the fight. The much referred 850k US PPVs estimates from the article blog by ESPN boxing writer Dan Rafael was posted 12 days after the fight therefore it was more of a post-fight initial PPV estimate than a total PPV number.

According to this source: http://www.philboxing.com/news/story-25788.html, despite the Global Economic Recession, the Pacquiao-Hatton fight actually did 930k US PPVs which means it out-sold the US PPVs of the Mayweather-Hatton fight which did 915k. This article is the closest to an official confirmation, it wasn't from a forum, it's taken on much later date and also it's the only one which has the UK PPVs included in the article.

Even if you use the much referred post-fight initial PPV estimate of this fight, its still did better than the post-fight initial PPV estimate of Mayweather-Hatton fight. I remember very well that its post-fight initial PPV estimate of Mayweather-Hatton fight was only 810k US PPVs which later to become a total of 915k US PPVs.

Like I said above, it was a miss-conception. There are lots of sources estimating the total number of US PPVs of the Pacquiao-Hatton fight however most of them where from a forum or articles just posted only days after the fight which in other words "How can anyone know THE TOTAL number of PPVs if they only just started counting?".

http://www.philboxing.com/news/story-25788.html is the closest to an official confirmation, it wasn't from a forum, it's taken on much later date and also it's the only one which has the UK PPVs included in the article.

Shut up newbie. Pacquiao vs Hatton did 850k. What i find it funny that like what 4 month or 5 month later the ppv buys are 930k for Pacquiao vs Hatton? lol come on you actually believe that garbage? Oh of course you do cause you're an idiot bandwagon Pacquiao fan. Boxing scene, fight news, Espn, Yahoo sports, Hbo have already reported the ppv buys of Pacquiao vs Hatton in which again did 850k in the US.

Then both of you give us your ****ing sources? Make sure it didn't came from a forum because any hater or nut-hugger would've made it up and it should came from a much later date because it's going to be more likely to be just an estimate than the total number of PPVs.
