Briedis is a good fight. He is very physically strong and shows very good power. I do think he's a little flat footed and can be one paced too, which are things Usyk can and will exploit. I think the way Briedis fought Huck shows he maybe lacks the nuance and ring IQ of Usyk. Perhaps to put it simply, outside of power I don't see what Briedis has over Usyk. Late stoppage for Usyk.
I rate Briedis, but Usyk will put on a clinic and win via wide UD or late TKO, catapulting himself into the P4P top 5. Mairis struggled with Perez' close to mid range southpaw style and had to do a tremendous amount of spoiling to keep Mike at bay and stop him from winning rounds on the inside. Briedis' own inside game was incredibly limited (counter right uppercut, then clinch regardless of whether or not said uppercut lands, EVERY, SINGLE, TIME). Usyk will take Briedis' spoiling out of the equation and spend most of the fight controlling the distance and out pointing Briedis at long range, while occasionally using his feints and footwork to take advantage of the Latvian's predicatability and swarm him with closer range combinations.
Breidis has a puncher's chance but damn, Usyk is slick. That footwork is going to be super hard for Breidis to deal with.
Going with Usyk WIDE ud... but Briedis did Ko charr.. pretty violent.. if you can ko a man that big in that fasion you atleast got to give him a 10-20% chance vs any fighter I don't care who it is.
Yeah it's interesting, that was Damian Marley talking about fe in 2010. I wonder who wrote those lyrics.. Music can be crazy you're right, have to be careful what you listen to. Your subconscious mind is powerful, good video. This content is protected
Usyk is way too hyped. Chances are he'll win, but I voted for Breidis because the poll is way too imbalanced.
Briedis is underrated, this is a more competitive match-up than many are saying. However, I think Usyk will win by close decision.
