That's more or less a recap of most fights recently.

I pray that the good guy wins, but in real life sometimes the bad guy wins.

Fury is younger, much bigger, has two dodgy promoters (Warren and Arum). The ref saved him from being knocked out in the first fight, and will protect the big oaf on Saturday. His promoters will likely have the judges paid off to favor him.

I'm rooting for Usyk, but in boxing the better man doesn't always win.

Usyk is a better late round boxer. It could also indicate that he figured out Tyson already and will be able to put on a better beginning performance in the rematch. I think that these guys are equal in scorecards, but Usyk has a higher chance at scoring a 10-8 round which will be the deciding factor.

I've thought about betting rounds 7-9 for Usyk because he almost got it done last time.

Usyk's hands are definitely not as quick, and he appears to have lost half a step as well.

They gave the victory to Usyk in the first fight because of political reasons, they had to back Ukraine because of war with Russia.

Now situation is different, the war will be over soon. Judges will bring back the titles to Great Britain on Saturday night.

Of course, no can defend the refs conduct that clearly advantaged Fury in round 9 - because they can’t.

Shameful are the steady excuses for and by Fury that have been steadily plied since he lost the first fight.

Name any fighter who has been afforded as many excuses as Fury has been since the fact of his defeat - a fact that has been clearly too hard for some to swallow.

Fury is shot, he was too light, his father was a distraction, he couldn’t spar, he clowned too much, he was too complacent, he erred in his strategy, he was robbed due to the Ukraine War, issues at home, etc, etc.

How is that giving Usyk his due? Quite obviously it isn’t.

Who said that Usyk is too old?

No one as far as I’ve read. Pure invention.

No one buys obviously false narratives - nor do they buy disingenuous credit being afforded to Usyk (to imply impartiality) whilst actually trying to unduly discredit him at the same time via a million and one excuses for Fury.

There are many, including myself, who didn’t view the fight to be as close as the scorecards reflected - including one judge who inexplicably gave Fury the win.

Usyk had to win as clearly as he did to overcome the bias in scoring, otherwise it may well have manifested into a robbery had it actually been a materially closer fight.

Bivol beat Canelo clearly also but check the scorecards for that fight - outrageously tilted toward Canelo.

If the Saudis want a clean rep. then I would guess that they weren’t happy at all with Fury - who himself said that he was robbed of the win due to the Ukrainian war - a claim he has not actually retracted as far as I am aware.

Are you saying that Usyk was gifted the win because of the war or that he wasn’t robbed of the win because of the war?

Yes, I'm saying: Usyk wasn’t robbed of the win because of the war. Fury and Warren was also probably told about the decision before the fight. They congratulated Usyk and his team with happy faces in post fight interview in the ring. They know they will get back the belts this Saturday night.

There is a very disturbing video up of Turkyi prank-calling Usyk and calling him a "freak" and telling him that Fury is going to knock him out with Fury on the other line.

First of all, I posted it and it was taken down. I AM NOT ARGUING WITH MODERATORS DECISIONS and will not re-post it here, but I can't believe that it is against any rule to let people know that they should seek this video out for themselves and watch it to draw their own conclusions.

My feeling after watching this is that Usyk will have to get the stoppage to win.

Even if this is for entertainment, it’s not a good look. Very pro Fury, no hiding it…

It was worrying for sure. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

Turki has previously spoken about stamping out bad cards in boxing so hopefully he’s a man of his word.

Fury can win next weekend. Usyk should be a slight favorite after the first fight though.
