    Briggs against Vitali comes to mind. He took a major league beating in the fight. He was literally taken to the woodshed by the 2nd or 3rd round. The easiest thing to do would have been to just stay in the cornerduring those late rounds because he didn't have the energy level to start winging away. Couldn't land anything anyway.

    I was hardly Shannon's biggest supporter prior to that and was frankly surprised he made it to the finish line. I also think a good corner stops the fight, like McGirt did with Brewster in the Wlad rematch. Try saving the fighter for another day/do not risk permanent damage by staying in there getting tagged over and over again.
