Baldomirs lack of power who let him down pretty badly against Margarito. Entertaining fight for a few rounds then just a onesided beating.

The styles are all in Margaritos favour in this one.

While I would think a wide UD would be the more likely outcome, Margarito is one of the best at attacking the body. I think Forrest landed..maybe a handful of body blows when he fought baldomir. Margarito does that every rounds with conviction. A stoppage win (or mercy stoppage by ref/Dr/Corner) would not be out of the questions.

You got that right. A war that is nothing but a fable in your head dude! This would be a straight beatdown. Baldomir isn't anywhere near world class.

WTF are you talking about doesn't make sense? Are you that ****ing stupid? Both of these guys fought at 147 for years and both have a common opponent in Clottey a few years ago it would have been a great fight. What's wrong with wanting to see it? They both have great chins and come forward. As for your golden Johnson comparison he's a former 135 pound fighter who never ammounted to much. You're by far the worst poster in the history of ESB and that's saying alot.:hi:

I would have rather seen Margo vs Mayorga that would have been a good fight some years back. But Baldo vs Margo would have been a good fight too. it would have been a war.

Jose Luis Cruz hurt him, dropped him, and nearly had him out.

Yeah, like he wiped the floor with Daniel Santos, Paul Williams, Rodney Jones and two other journeymen.

It took Margarito over a million punches to hurt Cotto, the same Cotto who only ONE punch from Torres rocked him all over the place, same from Mosley.

You lose credibility when you compare Cotto at 147 to the Cotto at 140. It's also convenient when you forget that Cotto beat both Torress and Mosley, whereas he had to succumb to Margarito's power and pressure late in their fight. Give credit where it's due and we'll have no problems.

This would have been the smart fight for Margarito to have made because then Floyd would've had to fight him or avoid 147 altogether.

all the dude said was they have similar styles and it would have been a good fight to watch. Yet you bring Mayweathers name up again?!? You can't stop talking about him can you?

and clearly Margo would have destroyed Baldomir, i mean look what he did when he fought that ATG Santos...

Exactly. Baldomir is a glorified regional journeyman who got lucky to face an unprepared Judah and a washed-up Gatti. Any halfway decent world class fighter beats him. Margarito would beat him up badly and probably stop him.

I always thought this would have been a great fight.I would slightly favor Margarito but you can't count Baldomir out ever.
