Guillermo Rigondeaux - 17 fights in 7 years. Who did he beat? Donaire, Cordoba and Agbeko. Thats just a big let down.
Two of my favourite fighters in the early 2000s I thought were great talents who could've had way better careers: Julio Diaz and Martin Castillo. Diaz's robbery vs Manfredy held him back, then he showed he had a weak chin which kept him from reaching the potential I thought he has. Castillo had a beautiful style, could box, counter, creatively use angles, and punch too. Montiel who could box but with pressure was all wrong for him, then I guess as a little guy he faded fast. Donald Curry looked like a perfect fighter on his way to a hof career when he beat Milton McCrory, so his career since has to be considered a big disappointment.
You didn't just state fmj could had done "MORE" are you ****ing kidding me here, more ? How could that be remotely possible He achieved the Unachievable, and you wanted more
You know whats the biggest waste of talent? Al haymon! Leaving great talent like beterbiev, lubin, khytrov rot and not get fights because he wants to line he's own pockets
Dont agree with Floyd, ODLH and possibly Roy Jones. Floyd fought everyone, aure not at the best time but thats impossible to do, specially now a days. ODLH fought everyone, lost some and won some but i dont see what you mean by him beinh a wasted talent. And for roy jones had he retired after beating Ruiz hed be a top 50 for sure. Some would say he didnt fight the best but just the fact he beat a heavyweight title holder would have him an ATG in the eyes of most
Ya and none of them have any fights because he is a thief Beterbiev had to go and find he's own fight, so did khytrov, so did Islam They should leave haymon he is a joke
Fernando Vargas , Zab Judah, Kermit Cintron, Jermaine Taylor . All 4 of those fighters could have been a lot greater and can be considered as wasted talent.
Oscar was my fav at the time and whilst in the Uk I didn't get to see all his fights from what I ca recall he was always on the wrong end of decisions but took each one gracefully, still he didn't do too bad. The reverse could be said of Oscar in that he ducked nobody and fought many in their prime.
Corrie Sanders. He got the big win over Wlad but he could have been so, so much more. I watched him through his career and watched him fritter away his prime years and enormous talents playing with little white balls on the golf course and fighting a string of mediocrities. A guy with his mobility, punch power and handspeed could have done great things with a little more dedication.
