Simms was ultra talented...that point is beyond arguement. But his career is the epitome of wasted talent.

He was lightning quick...had great power...fantastic footwork and movement...tight defense...good ring intellect...a good chin...a very varied offense...etc. Yet he wasted so much of his prime in the courts fighting for a much deserved title shot, rather than just entering the ring against anyone he could to prove that talent and deservedness.

He then takes a good fighter in Alcine way too lightly and loses...which at his age, without any real name recognition and with his high talent level made him the ultimate high risk, low reward fighter. So when noone will fight you because it just doesnt make sense for them...your pretty much done. I loved watching the guy fight...and if by some miracle he gets another shot, I hope he makes the best of it.

But if he is gonna get back into the light, he is gonna have to start fighting A HELL OF A LOT MORE than he has been. Because honestly, I thought he was retired.

    Not true, Stephen,

Once he won the title, Don didn't keep him busy, he has not promoted any shows to really showcase him or any of his champion's or fighter's.

Had Simms been with another promoter he would have been a star by now:thumbsup!!!

maybe he could not sell fights bc the population of the Norwich, CT is not the same as the philppines or mexico.
