Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world today...............by far..............Why do you think Alvarez gave up his title rather than fight Golovkin, same with Martinez, Cotto, Saunders, Jacobs, Quillin, Eubank, etc.

Honestly everyone tries to play doctor and say where fighter feel comfortable at or not it's all speculation and while I feel the cw argument could be valid I personally would assume since so many people thought Cotto did well vs Alvarez that should be proof enough that the Martinez/Geale victories were not due to weight or injuries that's just me though.

I'll take the bait on one, Kofi Jantuah outdid Golovkin and Dirrell against a much fresher Rubio. Fighters have different styles and strategies, you can't just go by "a fighter did this to b fighter"

Trinidad destroyed Joppy in five rounds, B-Hop threw everything at Joppy but couldn't get rid of him, and it was a more worn version. See.....

I though Ward was a SMW when he offered the 164. If he was a LHW then why are you giving GGG

? All the other threads about GGG ducking Ward was when Ward was at 168. If he was 175, I don't think there would have been any discussion to begin with.

It would’ve been a bad deal to take,” Loeffler said via the latimes.com. “If the pay-per-view for the Lemieux fight is what we think it should be, Gennady would deserve more than 50% against Ward, considering Ward has barely fought outside of California. So it’s unreasonable to ask us to commit to that right now.”

I think maybe because it's not just a one time thing with GGG. He seems to do it to everybody.

exactly thats the point there are 3 examples and the list will keep getting bigger

    rubio vs dirrel

    murray vs groves

    stevens vs dirrel

these fighters might beat them but its somewhat competitive but with GGG its a whitewash

Exactly. 164 is hardly disgraceful, it's the halfway point and the opening bid in a negotiation but Ward ran away instead.
