In one place one judge can score on this or that, ring general skills or come forward style. The man or woman sat next to him may score it on whatever, defensive skills or cleaner head shots landed etc.

Dont you think its about time the way fights are scored, are set up so judges are all scoring based on the same things worldwide?

It seems a lot of the time they have given scorecards from another fight. It's bamboozling to me and it could be easily solved.

I score fights on cleaner shots landed and avoiding shots...Hit and dont get hit, isnt that what boxing is?

Look I might have it wrong regards to scoring set ups, I dont know how judges currently score bouts....Is there a set system ? If there is, it doesn't feel like it!

    Cheers.:bbb

They don't next to each other. This is why one judge may see a punch land that the other one/two don't.

Judges are to score on ring generalship, footwork, defence as well who's landing the cleaner effecive punches.

I think it was Chuck Giampa who said that may be wrong.

Yeah i agree, TBH during Martinez-Burgos i did think to myself as Martinez was attacking Burgos who lay on ropes. How tough it must be for judges if a fight stays on one side of ring and the effective punches we see on TV for Burgos can't be seen by judge who just sees Martinez throwing.

But with regards to that fight there was so much action in each round that was clearly Burgos on top that it was inexcusable.

For me Miguel that decision among many was corrupt, The trainers and fighter looked to calm and to relaxed as decision was ready to be announced. For me to many mistakes, to many mistakes going in favor of people for certain reasons.

WBO is a Puerto Rican dominated title and the fight being in NY which is a heavily populated Rican city means for me there's more to it then just a poor decision.

Not seen it as yet Mand, on list for tmorra/tday even!

Yeah, thats gotta be impossible for judges no doubt, just seems everyone is wise to it now. Its corrupt as you like man, needs sorting once an for all.

Bottom line is, its turning paying punters away.

The scoring is not based on anything that goes on inside the ring :-/.
