The way Nelson ate big knees vs Mir & Werdum was nothing short of incredible.

Even though he got knocked out by Arlovski way back when, this guy's chin is now something very special indeed. It's not just that he doesn't get stopped, it's the way that immediately after absorbing a flush, hellacious knee to the face, he doesn't even seem badly rocked, he is hurt but still has enough strength and awareness and determination to keep on fighting. Absolutely amazing resistance to punishment IMO.

His chin is amazing because taking punches is impressive but I've seen few human beings that can take a full shot on the face from the knee. ESPECIALLY when the head is being pulled into it. It's like a head on collision from 2 trucks going at 100mph. Simply devastating!

Yes, he is a legitimate Iron Chinned Warrior. If his skills were a tenth of what his Chin is he might actually be a decent fighter.

Roy Nelson is inhuman. He takes everything Junior dos Santos has and fires back, deals comfortably with Frank Mir's best, takes a left head kick from CroCop and barely flinches, and takes shots that would take down an elephant from Werdum for 3 full rounds.

He truly has one of the best beards (no pun intended) in the business.

Those knees were ridiculous. Roy has a steel plate under that beard. Werdums stand up has improved a lot as well was those kicks and knees were very good.

I think his skills are but he is fat. He can box, wrestle and jits. That is a serious combo but he fights toughman fights with fighters who are bigger, stronger and more powerful. He ****s up second tier heavies like Schaub and Struve and embarasses no names like Kimbo.

If he loses the fat, his stamina goes through the roof and that alone steps his game up. Go to 205 and he stops facing guys so much bigger!

Nelson has become my guilty pleasure. I'll be willing him on in his next fight but its bound to be someone like Carwin or Silva or some other big, strong, powerful beast.

His 'achievements' so far amount to getting punched and kneed in the face a lot

Great chin but against the a-level heavy's in the UFC he is just a punching bag.
