What is your thoughts on the WBA system of "Super Champion " and "Normal Champion " when the title is unified?

That has to be the biggest farce of a belt I have ever seen. If the Champion unifies the WBA title with another title, a new vacant belt is created. WTF is the point to create another belt?

Anthony Mundine was knocked out for 5 minutes against Ottke. Ottke then unified the IBF/WBA belt and Mundine was given a normal title shot against Atwun Echols . Mundine won , then was wearing the same WBA belt that he doesnt deserve , as he was KTFO. The same thing happend against Kessler. Mundine was clearly defeated , and then Kessler unified. Mundine won another totally undeserving title against a smaller fighter Soliman that Mundine already beat before.

It has totally degraded the WBA as a sanctioning org.

They have become really filthy scum in a world of...regular scum.

This is how belts should look...

    Heavyweight Champion
    Cruiserweight Champion
    LHW Champion

    Etc....

All this abc belt crap is ridiculous.

Not to even get into normal and super and extreme super and superdupercallafragalistic champion discussion. Its a joke.

yup. it removes whatever prestige is left in the wba championship belt. i think the wba normal champ is just equal to the wbc international belt,

It's just a way that a money grubbing sanctioning body has come up with to earn more sanctioning fees. And the promoters get another paper title they can strap around the waist of somebody they can start billing as a "world champion". I'm sure Don King is a big fan of this rule, for all we know he could've been the one who proposed the idea in the first place, he's been calling the shots for the WBA for years :yep

Its a load of ****ing bull****,the last thing we need is more title belts.
The only reason they create more belts is because on a poster they can write:

    "Champion vs Champion"

Its just a cheap ploy to get more money but it doesn't work as it just confuses the general public as to who is the superior fighter in that weight class.
Not only do we have too may ABC belts but ABC belt organizations are creating belts on top of belts!

    Super champion
    Interim champion
    Champion
    International champion

Wasn't there a new belt created for lennox lewis on the chance that he might come out of retirement? i can't remember its name.
All this stuff is getting stupid. Its just watering down the weight divisions and stopping the general public knowing who the best actually is.

we need the top fighters to stop running for the abc belts and just focus on getting fights with the top contenders in their divisions. they will be appreciated more for taking all comers rather then defending their title against nobodies. this is why i'll never have respect for that thai long-time champion.

the boxing fans don't need sanctioning bodies to tell them who the best fighter in the divisions are. we know better. we know that half the chumps holding belts could be beaten by fighters not even rated at the top20.

I agree, it tarnishes the achievement of the WBA World Title, by just handing out another belt.

The point of creating another belt?? More sanctioning fees, of course. :yep

Farce is the right word for it, too. These sanctioning groups should be put out of business.

    Yes, imagine this scenario.

Fighter A wins the WBA belt by beating Fighter B. He unifies his belt with the IBF beltholder and is now the super champion.

FIghter B reclaims his WBA belt. He now unifies his belt with the WBO champion and now we have TWO SUPER CHAMPIONS!?

Fighter C now fights for the dormant WBA strap and gets it.

    It's absolutely ridiculous.

its pathetic. you have unify belts in the same sanctioning body. its clearly a weak ploy to have more sanctioning fees in my view.
