Valuev lost to to Chagaev, but later picked up the vacant belt against Ruiz. But Chagaev defended a title in the same name against Drummond and then lost against Valuev when the belt was not at stake. Was the Drummond fight a defence of the WBA in recess belt? or some other WBA named belt?
Chagaev never lost to Valuev.They had one fight and he beat the giant.Second fight the Finnish authorities wouldnt let him box bcause of his illness so it was cancelled.
Chagaev really has not illness, Valouev did not want to fight him, neither did Haye...........Chagaev won the WBA title, they WBA took the title away and gave it back to Valouev so they could give it to Haye for a bigger money fight or fights.....................now WBA just created a new title................nuts!
The WBA are a joke, and Haye having the belt simply made him a bit more of a legit challenger to Wlad. I didn't even have Haye beating Valuev in the first place...
Also Chagaev was WBA champ when Wlad beat him so technically Wlad should have been WBA champ years ago
