The WBA is certainly the worst of the 4 organisations.

It is the worst of the three.

    I don't recognise the WBO.

Yet the WBO is better than the WBA...

Even the WBOs unexplainable ranking system isnt as bad as the WBA having a 'Super' World champion and I quote a 'Regular' World champion...

I dont think we should underestimate how ridiculous that is.

Ok rewind circa 2003 or so. Sven Ottke wins the WBA from Byron Mitchell and unifies the WBA and the IBF. The Regular WBA belt is now vacated and i think Mundine won. If Joe had unified with Mundine what would that have made Joe assuming Joe had won?

Going to be pedantic here. Ruiz did not win a gift DQ over Johnson. Johnsons peformance was one of the most pathetic performances i have ever seen in the ring. He fouled repeatedly after being hurt numerous times and deliberately got himself DQ`ed despite repeated warnings because he couldnt handle Ruiz`s awkward herky jerky style. LL was rightfully stripped for not defending against Ruiz as he could have prevented the mess that ensued. Instead we were treated to 3 bouts between Ruiz and Holyfield that no one ever wanted to see.

You have some good points on the Kirk Johnson issue. I don´t want to make excuses for Kirk as he ruined his own career.

I disagree that Lewis was rightfully stripped. Ruiz should not have been #1 to begin with (Zakman where are you?). Lewis was also, if I got the story right, willing to defend against "the journeyman" after his Grant fight, but King still got Lewis stripped.

Still, even if those two arguments of yours are right, the other points I made really show how watered down this belt has become.

I was sorely miffed back then that LL wouldn't fight Ruiz. And the reason was because i didn't want to see the belts splintered and i didn't want to see that idiot Ruiz in the heavyweight merry-go-round. Turns out i was right. Its been a monumental mess ever since and King has done as he pleased. For all intents and purposes the WBA is the most useless belt at heavyweight with zero relevance and it all stems from LL not defending his belt. How Ruiz became his mandatory il never know.. But im sure DKP had there hand in it.

Let's have Chagaev-Valuev II to settle this for once and for all, and for ****'s sake, let's NOT bring back Ruiz in the mix.

Kali Meehan is the mandatory challenger now?? :patsch
Really, you can't make this stuff up, it's just an accomplishment in how they manage to be so ****ed up.

All these events even trumps the WBC which thought it was a good idea to have 3 different subsequent title eliminators and a rematch in Peter-Toney after they didn't like the judge's decision.

The Ruiz DQ win against Johnson was, sadly, pretty legit.

Not only was Johnson really bad in that fight, but he had prior history when it came to low blows and he did legitimately whack Ruiz in the cobblers a few too many times.
