even in the ufc.. they need to work up to a top 5 ranking before they challnage for the belt usually.. Charlo has not beat one top 5 middleweight.. the fight vs the argentine was pointless.
Thats the point, those PBC fights are bull**** 90%of the time if its outside of 147. For some reason Haymon matches his other division fighters up like ****, for example Russell Jr., and when they step-up they usually get their ass beat and mess up my entire bet ticket. Haymon fighters never dispose of top names in the game, like other fighters in other promotions do. Kovalev by Ward Lomachenko by Salido Gonzales by Rungvisai Pacquiao by Horn All of these guys have been offered up to Haymon fighters only to turn the fight down or get beaten.
Charlo should fight Lemmy, Murata or a Derevychenko first. Well... Whoever is in the wbc rankings not named Golovkin. I don't think Charlo will ever fight Golovkin unless it's next anyway. He's not ready. Charlo vs GGG would be similar to Canelo vs GGG with better boxing from Charlo in a lara-esque type of performance and he'd still lose because he won't be the aggressor.
Golovkin has already beaten 2 Haymon fighters quite recently. I don't think he has any problem matching them up against Golovkin
If the wbc have any consistency and act the same as they do with their heavyweight belt charlos title shot is being scheduled for 2021
The WBC one has to be kinda soon, then the IBF will probably put one forward and then the WBA as well. The bodies are a sodding nightmare
So GGG's mandatories are: WBC - Charlo IBF - Derevyanchenko WBA - winner of N'Dam/Murata rematch All 3 are good names, I'd be happy with any of them. Charlo and Derevyanchenko are the obvious candidates since N'Dam/Murata haven't rematched yet. Charlo is the better $$$, but IBF are the stricter org, so could be either. Both could be brutal fights.
