The WBC has ruled, essentially, to not get in the way of a potential clash between Anthony Joshua and the winner of the December 1 fight between WBC heavyweight titleholder Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

    Mauricio Sulaiman -

“That’s a fight the WBC has just ruled to support. During our convention, a ruling of the mandatory status included the provision of trying to make the winner of Fury-Wilder against Joshua. I’m not certain about any contract. That’s a private agreement, but the WBC is of course the one that orders the fights, so our position is that we want to see the ultimate heavyweight fight, which involves Joshua and involves the WBC champion.”

    Interesting.....

The WBC don't believe Wilder is doing enough to make the unification happen, so the WBC are going to extreme lengths here, doing everything they can without making Joshua 'Mandatory'.

Even the WBC don't believe Deontay.....

Clearly they're not impressed with Wilder's teams attitude towards making the fight happen.

Lets be clear, in England Joshua is bigger than the WBC belt. If he wanted he could Wlad Klitchko it and fight the mandos of the other 3 belts and the IBO if he wanted and wouldn't have to step a foot in America.

Im not saying I like it or that its fair but, Wilder may have to concede to Hearn or beat all of Joshuas mandos to face him for HIS titles. Fury is a godsend for Wilder right now. Hell, he is doing most of the heavy lifting promotion wise. This all falls on the shoulders of Al Haymon not promoting Deontay worth a damn. Wilder is trying but PBC wont spend a dime in advertising, put him a movie, a rap video, youtube channel, nothing.

I can't be angry that Matchroom did their job in making Joshua big. If the shoe was flipped would Deontay go over to the UK for one belt, nope. We would all be calling Joshua a Euro bum. I remember the 90s and 2000s. They remember that too.

Why should a fighter, who's the A side, ever have to 'Step foot in America'?

Was Floyd a 'North American bum' because he never fought in Europe?

European fighters have been forced to travel to the US and hand over every single advantage to their opponents for decades.....

Now it's the US fighters turn to travel and fight against all that home advantage BS.

Wilder's real problem is that after he beats Fury hes gonna have no other real options than Joshua

Sure Wilder vs Fury will be pretty big but you think Wilder vs Breezedale is gonna be showtime ppv selling out the Barclay's center?

No it'll be back to selling 4k tickets in the swamp again. And bye bye fight because Hearns is happy to Age wilder out. I personally feel Deontay has at best 18 months before age starts to become a factor.

    Wilder needs to capitalize quick

The longer this fight takes to make, the more it suits Joshua.

That's why it makes no sense for Wilder to delay it, unless he's looking to cash out.

    Yup.

At 33 with 40 fights Wilder isnt going to get any better

Joshua on the other hand is still developing. Even against povetkin he was learning on the job and added a nice jab to the body to his arsenal.

In a years time it's going to be a fully developed Joshua against a Wilder who is possibly starting to feel like a guy in his mid 30s.

I've said before Wilder needs to get this fight now because if he loses that bit of speed and bit of movement his chances go down a lot.

I don't believe in Wilder either. The only "proof" of his existence are obviously doctored videos on Youtube, and the occasional crazy anonymous forum person who claims to have "encountered" him.

Thats why I hate guys that talk that dumb stuff about Muhammad Ali. He was the last real champion fighter in boxing to literally fight world wide. After that nobody wanted to leave unless they were forced to, like Hagler was against Minter and them.
Wait, Julio Ceaser Chavez would too.

    Exactly.

Hence why it's team Wilder & his devil worshipping team that want the fight, and team AJ are quacking.
