The WBC Has Suspended Luis Nery Indefinitely For His Weight Shenanigans...

Once a cheat always a cheat.

They did nothing the first time, if they don't do anything now it's not a good look for the organization.

That guy was such a cheater...

 

Only reason they did this was to try to save face and have a positive spin on their name. He's no longer holding a belt of theirs and paying their fees, so the only positive they could make from the situation was this. Didn't do anything but defend and brush aside the failed PED test, though. Why? Well, because he was going to happily pay the sanctioning fees, of course! WBC sucks.

 

While I applaud the move to suspend him it's a meaningless move. Nery's will just fight for one of the other sanctioning bodies which just goes to show what a chit show boxing is. Here's a boxer who has failed a doping test then in the very next fight not even attempted to make weight and he will continue to box and cheat and the WBC can do nothing but a meaningless suspension that won't even prevent him fighting.

Until all the sanctioning bodies and licensing boards can start working together and acting together to suspend or ban fighters, scumbag fighters like Nery's will keep cheating.

 

WBC should take away the WBC title from Wilder for not fight a legit fighter...............
