The WBC the most Pestigious in boxing

I don't think any of the belts are particularly prestigious anymore, people only seem to hold it in high regard because of it's colour anyway.

 

In the sport of boxing, claiming one organization is so much better than the others is about like advertising for the world's tallest midget.

 

Sulaiman likes the sound of his voice,
He'll talk all day if you give him the choice,
If you listen for long enough then you will see,
Exactly what's wrong with the WBC,

A sanctioning body neutral should be,
So rulings and judgements are applied fairly,
so why amongst fans is it generally felt,
That something has tarnished the famous green belt,

Greed and corruption are boxing's close friend,
The stories of graft they go on without end,
One day Let us hope that from them will be free,
The sanctioning body called WBC,

 

That's like being the most honorable politician in congress or parliament. Doesn't count for much.

That you happen to prefer those things that are red,

All the belts are trash and just corrupt self serving organisations. The champion makes the belt now not the other way round. A fighter will need it to prove their worth in the public eye but once they have won it as long as they keep winning them having a belt or not is irrelevant.

 

I dont discriminate, all the sanctioning bodies are equally corrupt and worthless in the face of boxrec and the transnational boxing rankings.

 

If guys like Joshua, Usyk, Golovkin, Lomachenko etc.. threw their belts in the bin, fans would still consider them champs until beaten.

 

I would love Joshua, or Wilder for that matter after unifying all the belts to dump the four 'respected' belts and just say, here's the IBO belt, to get to mandatory status with it you'll need to reach the top of the computerised rankings fighting genuine contenders. Anyone who wants a piece of the new undisputed, lineal (yes I know) Ring champion, this is your route. No brown envelopes, no deals, get to the top of that ranking by fighting the best out there and you'll get your shot.

 

Funny I also thought of the 'world's tallest midget' and 'the most honest politician' analogies when I saw the OP title. It's such a Leprechauns Limbo dancing low bar it's totally meaningless. As an aside I fondly recall In 1984 when Larry Holmes stripped the WBC of the World Heavyweight Championship (yes that's effectively what happened) and went to the IBF and gave them the honour of overseeing/aligning with the World Heavyweight Champion and championship. Anyway I recall a magazine writer saying all Holmes had given up was..... 'a lot of aggravation and a cheap looking belt'.... lol. I looked at it and the then new IBF'S belt and the WBA'S strap; and agreed it was easily the cheapest looking of the 3, and still is of the 4/5. Always think of a cheap belt now with them haha. Anyway it's a load of nonsense...the WBC Is no more credible than the others. The WBA has the longest history by decades if you want to use that criteria. But alas they are as ludicrous as the rest with their Regular and Super Champions and other such nonsense. But that doesn't mean the WBC is the best of a bad lot. In fact if pressed on it--I consider them the most unprincipled and corrupt...and that's up against serious competition.

 

The WBA are clearly the worst with their multiple champions in every division.

The WBC are more strict on doping than any other org so some are obviously better than others.

 

WBC is a piece of a crap and if you think they are so innocent and "for the sport" than I have some property to sell you on a beautiful beach.
