All Bivol has to do is file an exemption with the WBC citing reasons why he should be allowed to fight and why there are mitigating circumstances

    He is not ethnic Russian
He does not travel to Russia
    He lives in California
His children go to school in America
    He is Kyrgyzstan passport
He pays taxes to the IRS
This is his only means of income

The whole ban on Russian athletes seems like a soft ban and the the WBC are aware it makes them seem even more corrupt than people already think they are

So this is Mauricio Sulaiman clarifying the situation and it seems like he won't object. He just wants to save face and avoid bad PR.

However interesting to note that Bivol himself has not approached the WBC, commicated at all with the WBC nor he or his manager have filed an exemption.

The whole situation could easily be fixed bu Bivol's manager seems incompetent (WBC exemption filing and no backup opponent for 2023,) or greedy (Canelo negotiations) and has cost his fighter multiple paydays off the back of a great 2022.

What a useless manager he has.

    It's all here.

    Bivol won't fight Beterbiev.

He won't get a mega payday taking 50% of the purse that this fight commands.

It's a crying shame that we won't get to see two of the best LHW ever face each other.

I hope you're wrong but this fight only has a year or two to get made before it becomes irrelevant

WBC doesn't care when it comes to Bivol vs Beterbiev. He just didn't want Bivol fighting Canelo again.

The fight will suddenly materialize when Beterbiev is 40-41 years old. And even then he still likely beats Bivol. If father time catches Beterbiev in the ring it will have to someone with a big punch.

Beterbiev will finally lose when he's an inactive and faded old man and his critics will say 'I always said he was nothing special'

This has to be one of the best fights to never happen and it's getting to the point that it's too late already, the matchup is almost already ruined to me.... almost...
