    So basically this is a clever way by the WBC to never force mandatories on Canelo, because the last time the WBC tried to make Canelo face his mandatory challenger, he told them to go **** themselves.

    New franchise champion?

    Utterly ridiculous! Makes it sound like Canelo has just brought a couple of McDonalds Franchises in Mexico City and the WBC awarding him the title of franchise champion.

    Sulaiman explains that this will allow the Franchise Champion the opportunity to fight the opponents that will generate the most interest.

    I definitely wouldn't want Canelo wasting a fight against a Dominic Wade or Willie Monroe opponent.. I would rather see him against Andrade or Callum Smith.
