I think the European title is long enough established and credible enough to remain the 'true' European title.

Most fighters and promoters respect that, whereas with world titles they are like kids in sweetshops for a number of reasons.

Put it this way, if I was a fighter.... prob 154lbs..... I would be chasing Mooresy like nothing other.... rather than a most probably weakass WBO EU 'champion'.

The alphabets must really be feeling the pinch at the moment to be creating more spurious belts. We need one of them to go under. Does anyone see that happening?

Hopefully. I'd like the WBC to go underm and be took over and merged by another (say the WBO) That way Sulamain could be ****ed off !

The WBC almost went under a few years back following the Rochigianni settlement. Sulaiman clawed his way back from the brink of death. What I hate about the WBC and, especially, the WBA is the fact they're the oldest belts but have no qualms about diluting their own history for the sake of money.

The WBO I have no time for at all, the IBF are, arguably, the best. They never create 'interim' titles but are very quick to strip people. I like the elimination tournaments they occasionally order.

Yep, I think the WBC is the most prestigious and if I was a boxer is the one i'd want most. If they went under and the WBO bought them out it'd sort 2 problems out for me. The WBO would surely be ****ed off and they'd keep the green belt just put their funds to that thus creating a bit of bargaining power. We'd get rid of Sulamain and eventually just be left with 3 instead of four.

ANOTHER BELT! I genuinely hope everyone involved in it's creation dies.

I wish the same thing upon every **** involved in the WBC diamond belt.

    This **** is disugsting.

It's getting to the stage where I hope a brand new org can come in and somehow wipe every other org out. Start from fresh and creat a new linear champ.

It's clear they have no interest in the well being of the sport and are only interested in leaching money from it. I can't believe how much money they charge in sanctioning fees. How much money must the likes of Hopkins, Jones and Lewis, who defended multiple belts several times, have given to these people over the years?

3% was the sanctioning fee, the last I knew.

Not likely. The WBC should have, and i think they filled for Chapter 11 when Rocky sued them succesfully for stripping him and awarding the belt to Jones. What boxing needs is an indepedant regulatory commision that all the Organisations must adhere too to prevent these occurences. May be it could be federal as well which would go a long way in ensuring theres no partiality or corruption.

A belt like this wont ever make any head way. This situtation kind of reminds me of the "English title". Not that popular anymore is it.. Why? Because fighters couldnt make any money off it. The same happened to the WBU. Those cretins invented weight divisions that never existed. They had no mandatory challengers or a ranking system for challengers to their belts. And currently they only have 2 fighters holding their belt. Choi and Limmond. The rest are vacant.

There were a ton of start up sanctioning bodies in the late 90's early 2000's and all of them have failed. There was a time when there were British fighters contesting the IBU IBA IBC WBF WBU etc those times have gone thank god.

Brilliant! Another title and not before time. They should go one better and have one for eastern Europe and one for the west. I can't wait until the other orgs follow suit, boxing will be well and truly sorted then. Just imagine it, nobody need ever be in a competitive matchup again. Brilliant!
