The WBO have ordered Oleksandr Usyk to defend against Joseph Parker

Again, I think Parker deserves a title shot with Usyk next.

    I'm not arguing against him.

I'm just saying the WBO isn't "Consistent" about any of this. If anyone argues the WBO is just being consistent, that's not the argument to make. Because they aren't.

The first Usyk-Fury fight and the Usyk-Dubois rematch, by WBO rules, could both replace/become WBO mandatories.

Usyk has lawyers. His defenses have been well within the WBO rules.

Maybe Daniel Dubois stole one of their girlfriends or something, because they want to prevent him from becoming a WBO Super or Interim champ at all costs. (I'm only half joking. ;))

Yesm they may extend, doesn´t mean they have to.
Fact is that the mandatory has been sitting idly for over 2 years now. They have been pretty damn consistent up to this point.
By your own logic, they can never enforce that mandatory because that would somehow be inconsistent.

Also, Usyk vs Dubois hasn´t been signed, so there is no reason for the WBO to extend this nonsense.

I don't know about that, but definitely close. I would favor Dubois 60/40.

No, it hasn't been sitting idly.

The WBO's own rules say they could've sanctioned Usyk-Fury 1 as a mandatory ... and everyone on the planet agreed they were the two best when they signed to fight.

And the Usyk-Dubois rematch, by the WBO's own rules ... could also be a mandatory.

Nothing is sitting idle. Usyk has negotiated fights that fit the WBO rules for mandatories.

If the WBO chooses NOT to sanction them as mandatories, despite their own rules, that's not only being inconsistent ... that's on THE WBO.

    Not the fighters.

Good. About time Parker got his shot at the real H/W Championship of the World. Securing this fight makes Parker the #1 Kiwi H/W of all time, imo. He goes past David Tua who also fought for the real H/W Championship of the World against Lennox Lewis. I think Parker goes past him b/c he also has an alphabet belt in the cupboard, a couple of successful title defences of it, a fight with the Unified Alphabet Champ of the time & plenty of good wins against name opposition. His professional career also has longevity. Not a bad effort at all. For a Kiwi.

Let's see the #1 WBO contender Justis Huni versus #2 WBO contender Moses Itauma on the undercard to determine the next WBO mandatory.

No it doesn´t. It says that unifications may take precedent over mandatory obligations.

They do to boxers. But coming from someone who follows one guy and hasn't made a correct pick in years, not surprised by this post from you.

It sounds reasonable but nevertheless does not reflect usyk,s reality . He had plenty of time and opportunities to fight all the guys on short notice and "clean the house" if he is indeed that good .

But he didn,t . He is one of the most inactive boxers of the heavyweight division and tries to build his legacy on words and not fights .

His "legacy" is 5 opponents in hw , three of them are witherspoon , chirosa and kid version of dubois .

Tell us more about how Joshua is currently the #2 HW because he "fought the wrong fight". Be sure to mention that you are not a deluded fanboy.

Usyk will be forced to fight Parker here (which I think is great)

Winner will fight Dubois for Unified

I mean - why would Usyk choose Dubois, when it gets him stripped of the WBO??

    No longer a "Unified" champ

Would Parker step aside for $$$$$ ?

    I truly think not.

Parker and the WBO will definitely enforce this.
