Do you consider it a genuine world title?

It's a bonifide title now with a long line of descent champs at different weight divisions.

No. There will be lots of Klitschko/Calzaghe/Sports Network fans who click yes though.

Calzaghe had the WBO belt and then took Lacy's IBF belt and Kessler's WBC/WBA belts. So obviously for some beltholders it means something.

It's better then it used to be. One thing that annoys me is that people fail to acknowledge how lowly and worthless it used to be. It has a bit more credibility in recent times - and people seem to think that, that is the way it has always been.

I'd have to say yes it is a proper title now simply because they're all becoming as worthless as one another.

A fair few of the recent, and upcoming "big" fights haven't even involved ABC titles.

The title doesn't make the champ. The champ makes the title.

Probably a more accurate question would be, "Do you consider ANY of the sanctioning body titles legitimate?"

I don't consider any of the sanctioning bodies as real world titles. I guess its as legit as the other £ these days with some good fighters holding the wbo belt

    I answered "yes".

AT least as much as i considered the WBC belt that Berto won over Rodriguez...or the wbc belt who will be disputed between Froch and Pascal...or the one that is going to be disputed between Diaconu and Branco..or..etc..etc...

i recognize it for the most part, but im a strong beleive tht its the fighter that makes the title and not the other way around.

Sturm more of a Champ than Pavlik coz he has the WBA? Nah...
