    Great depends on your own definition of the word, he was in great fights, therefore could be thought of as a great fighter. I dont mean he meant he was an elite level P4Per or anyting

    really though? We're talking about Micky Ward. No disrespect to him and full credit to him for climbing in between those ropes, I have that respect for every fighter. To me yes, one can have a difference of opinion on whether a fighter was great, like Jack Dempsey for example, most people call him great, other people think it's suspect because he doesn't have a great resume. Or Pipino Cuevas, looks a great slugger on film, but his resume wasn't all that, he got obliterated in the face of greatness.

    Micky Ward was categorically not great. I enjoyed his fights, I liked him, I'm not being a ***** here.
