Donaire's departure from Top Rank was very unexpected from me and I was actually kind of disappointed as well.. Donaire is one of my favorite boxers and I can understand him going to GBP to secure some big fights like Mares and Moreno, but I think he made the wrong choice for the long run.. For some reason, I want to think that Nonito's wife Rachel had something to do with it.. All in all, Nonito shouldn't have just up and left.. He should have talked it over with Arum first and try to settle things.. There might be a burnt bridge now and he may never get to fight the likes of Vasquez Jr, Lopez, Gamboa, Arce and other big names.. I hope this doesn't hurt his career too bad and I really hope that he would return to Top Rank.
