I should be having a fight soon, my coach said he can match me up but it will take between a week and a couple months. I'm just wondering, when I do get the call how should I structure my training the last week running up to the fight?

Also should I change my diet or lifestyle in any way?

    Cheers

edit, just for the record this will be my first fight.

Don't worry too much about your diet and training as long as you're in shape and don't have to worry about weight. it's always good to taper down training the last few days before a match because it allows you to recover and gain some energy back. this is only your 1st fight so don't sweat the small stuff too much and you'll learn alot from this. and good luck and post your results.

Yeah don't worry too much about it. Just make sure you're fit and on weight.

If you win that's great, if you lose it doesn't matter so much at this point, just go out there and enjoy yourself.

Personally, I do no sparring in the week leading up to a fight, and instead do a couple of intense pad sessions that week just to find my pace and keep me sharp.

The final week I'm always tapering down,I don't usually spar in the final week maybe a couple of light rounds, I do shaddow, pads, little bit of bag, because it's your first fight try not to over think about it too much in the last couple of days before the fight as this can be quite draining, just relax knowing thy you've done all the hard work and when the time comes and you start warming up to fight, that's when you switch on. Goodluck with your fight
