We know there was a second weigh-in but unlike the one against Jacobs we never got the results. Until now the heaviest known weight of Canelo was 174 pounds against Angulo in 2014 : This content is protected The Canelo of November 2, 2019 clearly seems heavier than in 2014 but to what extent? Do you think Canelo has gone over 180 pounds? This content is protected
I would be impressed if Canelo hasn´t gained any weight. And he looks quite drained for his middleweight contests.
Kovalev weighed 180 and 182 respectively for the rematch against Eleider Alvarez and Yarde and he said he was going to come in about the same for Clenelo because he feels terrible when he rehdrates more than that, Clenelo would've weighed about 180 so the difference between them would've been 2lbs max if any at all.
It seems to me that it was 185 pounds for the first fight. http://basementgymboxing.blogspot.com/2014/01/fight-night-boxing-weights-list-of.html
Yeah he was Kovalev 181 - Sillakh 185 Kovalev 183 - Agnew 187 Kovalev 185 - Caparello 185 Kovalev 188 - Hopkins 182 Kovalev 189 - Pascal 185 Kovalev 183.5 - Mohammedi 180.5 Kovalev 186 - Pascal 185 Kovalev 185 - Alvarez 187 Kovelev says he was under 180 for the rematch and 182 for Yarde I've never been happy about him coming in so light. Personally I think he should've been coming in at 185 minimum
Who knows? One thing is for sure, he has been a roided up tank for every fight above 154 and probably a few at 154. He's always paraded as this brave dude who's the smaller man taking on these huge guys........... Except he has been the bigger guy in every one of those fights!!! Bigger than GGG, Jacobs, Fielding, Kovalev. I'm so sick and tired of this clowns blatant corruption. He and Oscar should be arrested and charged with attempted murder.
He probably understated his fight night weight in order to get that Canelo money, thus draining himself slightly for that fight
Nothing but excuses. Canelo is 5'7 with short arms and started his career at 147. If you are going to say that canelo was bigger than ggg you might as well say Pacquiao was bigger than Keith Thurman
