It depends which version of Calzaghe you are talking about ...the man who fought Lacy, or the chinny one who turned up to fight Hopkins and Jones?
Shame you didn't start the thread like that. I like Joe Calzaghe and Carl Froch. They're chalk and cheese but both guys have represented the UK well in their own ways and deserve respect. I apologise for my abuse this morning, a response to your thread was called for but mine was the wrong one. Well done Mikkel Kessler.
No worries, I should have expected a response with the thread title. If I was sober at the time I would have named it to what it is now This defeat may do Froch some good anyway. I really don't like the arrogance of him but maybe it's just me. He may well tone things down a bit after losing his '0' and if he does he'll win me over because you can't fault his style in the ring, it always makes great viewing.
Great fight and what a twelfth round! I was rooting for Froch but I can't complain at the result and it means both fighters still have something to play for which is good for the tournament.
Credit to Mikkel I don't think he is quite as good as he was but still did a good job yesterday. I am disapointed for Carl because I really like the guy and the guy hasn't got the dues that he deserves. I really really hope a European wins the Super Six because I couldn't handle listening to American bs after that but sadly I have a feeling that Mr Andre Ward will win it.
