You've gone and started something now. For a small country of 2.9m though, that's a very good top 5. We're all ****ing hard *******s ennih.

Typical response from a clueless idiot that has no idea about boxing outside Hatton.

I can't really fault that list, I think the Irish have a better top 5 though...

    Scotland

    1. Ken Buchanan
    2. Benny Lynch
    3. Jim Watt
    4. Jackie Paterson
    5. Walter McGowan (would have been far more renowned and successful if it weren't for his ease at being cut, superb wee fighter)
I think this line up can be argued as being on par with the Welsh one, its certainly not a bad list for the size of our country, and plaudits to the welsh for being an even smaller country, so they may shade it.;)

Hatton? What's he got to do with a Welsh top 5?.. Oh yeah, you're obsessed with him.

Why are you talking **** about Calzaghe in a thread where I specifically asked for peoples lists?

The obvious answer is you don't have a clue.

Just commenting on your list. Ok, so I stretched the rules of the thread and I'm sorry about that.

I've always thought that McGowan is the Scottish equivilent of Howard Winstone, one had cuts the other had bad hands and those things really held them back at world level.
