aah, scotty... If Harrison hadnt went mental, I think he could have gone onto be the greatest scottish fighter of all time. I could have seen Harrison beat Marquez, Guzman, Injin Chi & Chris John if he fought any of them. Not Pacquiao though, that guys on a different level to anyone. & if anyone comes in deriding me or Scotty, I aint debating it. Cos hes gone, & its all ifs & buts Im dealing in. But you asked my true opinion, & I gave it to you straight.
again mate your very defensive. i think he would have rail roaded through that list wihtt he exception of guzman.i think he is good (from what i have seen of him0p however rhe hasent fought anyone yet. but i miss him .:good
Do you not think he came back after the olympics to england as it is a better launch pad for a professional career. There's **** all patriotic bout lewis, he even referred to kirk johnson as his "fellow countryman" after just stopping rachman. As soon as he dumped maloney, he dumped the british bull****. Great fighter though regardless.......
I wasnt being defensive towards you Reilly. Not at all. My message was aimed at the general public. You see, I have almost been a lone defender of Scotty on here for years. But hes gone now, & I wasnt prepared to go over old ground again. If I come accross as defensive, its for good reason. You try defending scottish boxers here for years like I have done, & lets see how you turn out Trust me, without my scottish ass & its almost dailly input on here scottish boxing would be but an afterthought on British ESB. Its that & that alone which keeps me posting here. Scottish boxing deserves its voice on this forum. I have wanted to retire from this forum for a good year now, but the guilt of not being here to defend the jocks always drags me back. As I say, people can call me this that or the other. Im fighting for a greater cause though, recognition for scottish boxing. I get **** all credit for it though! Thats just the way it is though, & I accept it. Who said life was meant to be easy as a scottish boxing fan?:deal Braveheart to the graveyard, im the William Wallace of this ****:smoke Remember the line Reilly... See what happens when you talk to me for too long?
Unfortuntately it seems most people aren't accustomed to Nonpareil, the man after who the Manassa Mauler was named after.
Harrison was a very limited fighter and very overrated imo. He got a gift draw decision against Victor Polo. He would have been totally beaten on all fronts by JMM and probably Guzman too, I agree he could have beaten Chi and John. Harrison was a good fighter but certainly not one of Scotlands top 5 though.
