The Welter-Weight division; is it finished?

    You're exactly right. The older guys are retiring or fading away, and the younger guys are turning out to be pretty mediocre. Porter is a decent but nothing special. Thurman's limitations were exposed against Collazo. Danny Garcia was given gifts vs Herrera and Peterson and won't be great at welter. Jessie Vargas is supposed to be one of the best welterweights? Brook and Spence stand out, but there's nothing more than them to get excited about.

    Doesn't mean it's horrible, just that it's no longer a 'great' divsion. Other divisions like cruiserweight and 130 will become bigger than welterweight the next couple years. Well, divisions aren't respected anymore, so I should say those 'weight areas'.
