The Welterweight Division - What do you now see happening?

    These are the facts:
    1. Cotto figured out Mosley
    2. Margarito destroyed Cotto
    3. Mosley destroyed Margarito
    4. Williams figured out Margarito
    5. Quintana figured out Williams
    6. Cotto destroyed Quintana
    7. Clottley made it close with Margarito, but remains a force
    8. Berto made it close with Collazo, but remains unbeaten
    9. Cintron has only two losses - both to Margarito
    10. Pacquiao destroyed post prime De La Hoya
    11. Mayweather Jr. could possibly come back
    Gatekeepers:
    1. Judah
    2. Collazo
    So how do you see all this playing out in 2009-2010? Any new comers?

    damn I guess PBF and mosely should fight now? what a division...not so sure cotto beats mosely again

    1. Cotto never figured out Mosley. Mosley got to Cotto and imposed his will on him. Cotto resorted to boxing defensively and staying away....in survival mode until the time ran out. If that was as 15 round fight Mosley would've won, and probably stopped him.

    2. Williams didn't figure out Margo. Margo figured out williams and won the second half of the fight, hurting Williams and if that was a 15 round fight Margo would've won.

    What happens now?

    Depending on the hand wraps debacle, I see it this way:

    Margo rematches Cotto and Cotto beats him.

    Floyd and Mosley fight and Floyd beats him.

    Super fight between Cotto and Floyd, Floyd beats him and retires top 20 ATG.

    A Paul Williams/Shane Mosley match seems the most logical. This may never occur as Williams seems to be campaigning at jr. middleweight now.

    Haven't forgotten it. Just keeping it simple. The rematch doesn't change the fact that Quintana totally outclassed Williams proving he is beatable.

    Bit immaterial considering Williams completely wiped him out in 1 round in the rematch and has now moved up to 54. At 6ft 2 im pretty sure making the weight affected his peformance.

    Ban Mosley and Margarito (if the illegal handwrapping story is true).

    Let the true athletes do their thing and I am sure we will have one champion by the end of 2010.

    Berto would beat Clottey
    Margarito beats Cotto in a rematch
    Mosley beats Pac or Hatton
    Mosley beats Margarito or Cotto in a rematch
    Mosley possibly loses to Berto due to styles if Berto continues to improve by next year.
