Quite a few Argie's do. That short, stocky bobbing and weaving thing. Most of 'em tend to slip rather than slip and then cut the distance as Qawi did.

 

Mares v Darchinyan

Had it 7-5 to Mares. Taking into account the deductions I believe that means he won a 113-112 decision on my card.

Razor close fight as mares came forward throwing combos and darch waited on those huge counter punches. Both guys fought fantastic here but I think mares just about got the victory.

Great heart by Mares after such a shitty start, fought strong down the stretch and showed he could fight as well as box.

 

I actually thought Pedroza's defense on the way in was a bit underrated in the early rounds, and that the margin going into the championship rounds was quite a bit closer. That means that Pedroza was the one who was up on the cards by the time all was said and done.

Awful spectacle, and a terrible clash of styles.
