Gato Gonzalez makes Napoles look like a pale imitation of Napoles.

Only footage we have of him is past prime as well. There's a pretty awesome Gato Gonzalez website, a great write-up of his career on there.

    Golota - Bowe I

Jesus Christ what a spectacle. I honestly didn't give Bowe a single round even in the rounds where Golota had a point deducted, at most I could only give him the sixth. Golota was just better in every department; could neutralize or outhustle him in close quarters, beat him handily on the outside, out jab him, beat him to the punch and outwork him. Even tho I knew what the outcome was I was just praying Golota didn't go to the body anymore such a shame what could've been. If you discount the fouls Golota completely shut out who was called the greatest heavy at that point in time.

Speaking on fouls why wasn't Bowe deducted for fouling? Rabbit punched on at least 3 different occasions very blatantly, kidney punches, punching on the break, punching after the bell and I counted about 3-4 low blows himself. Golota probably would've been DQ'd eventually but with a certain ref so could've Bowe. Will watch the second fight tomorrow.

Golota's were more egregious, and he was getting off first(A big part of his dominance).

Old school referee would view Bowe's fouls as defending himself from getting his nuts speed-bagged, I suspect, and brush them off.

I thought Bowe's rabbit punches in the first 3 rounds were very blatant, Golota even complained to the ref about them who paid him no notice. A point could've been deducted there. In any case like you say Golota's were so very open and shocking tho that it couldn't be ignored.

    Watching the second now.

    Golota - Bowe II

Absolutely awesome beating Bowe received. Gave Bowe rounds 3 and 4 while Golota won every single other. A more conservative ref could've stopped this fight anytime between the 6th and 9th with Bowe doing nothing more than getting his head smashed in. On the occasion he did fire back and missed his legs looked so rubbery it looked like he could've fallen down if he swung any harder. Such a disappointment with Golota less than 10 ****ing seconds to go in the 9th and he pulled that ****. He wouldn't even have to throw a single punch in the 10th and he'd still win comfortably.

Watched Jose Torres beat Willie Pastrano or the light-heavyweight title. Good performance by Torres, systematically broke his man down, very accurate compact and hard hitting. Pastrano just looked past it though, had no defense whatsoever for anything Torres threw at him, and couldn't get his punches going, even that dazzling left hand of his was ineffective. He was definitely a shot fighter on the night.

I definitely have Trout winning that fight.
Canelo did not land ENOUGH power punches to steal the rounds. It was a difficult fight to score, a decision for Canelo doesn't seem absurd at all, but I really have Trout winning. He did well with the jab and was the aggressor.

The knockdown round was 10-9 not 10-8! I bet a lot of people were so hyped that they didn't notice how effective Trout was that round.

One thing is for sure, Mayweather would have a more difficult time against Trout than Canelo. By the way, Mosley said that Mayweather hit as hard as Canelo.

    Holyfield vs Tyson I

I'll tell you what this was a great performance by Holy who I had winning 7 of the 10 rounds. Let me tell you though Tyson looked very unmotivated and particularly after the major headbutt didn't look like he want to be there at all and it seemed as if he was hoping the doctor would stop the fight cos of his cut. I'll tell you what Holyfield's a true warrior let me tell ya...

I'm watching the fight again atm, I'm actually giving more rounds to Canelo now than yesterday. I think I learned how to score fights a little better as I'm using my defensive judging mindset better. Nevertheless, the fight was still close as hell, and Canelo needs to pressure and throw more punches if he wants a decision. Trout was not even going to hurt him. Trout could transform as a fighter if he focuses more on strength. I would love to see them fight again in around 2 years.

El Nica won again in his usual style - no defense, telegraphed bombs, amazing somersaults off the top rope:D

Did he rematch the guy that he clearly beat over 10 last year? Just because the loser complained?

Hughie Fury's opponent one of the most comically inept fighters i've seen in ages.
