Gennady Golovkin vs Danny Jacobs (first viewing) did not see it live Round: 10-9 Awfully close, think Jacobs took it, Golovkin still pursuing well and cutting off the ring but never got him to the ropes or in a corner. Round 2: Not much between them I thought Jacobs edged it 10-9 Jacobs Round 3: Hard one to score GGG started well then Jacobs landed a good left hook when Golovkin was overtop 10-9 Golovkin Round 4: Jacobs switches gets caught goes down. Didnt seem hurt but fought differently moved less got hit a lot more than previous rounds making me think he was a little buzzed. He did fire back in the last 10 seconds. Golovkin implimented a nice uppercut 10-8 golovkin Round 5: Golovkin 10-9, Jacobs takes the punches very well Round 6:
Vasyl Lomachenko - Jose Ramirez Rd 1 - 10-8, Lomachenko Rd 2 - 10-9, Lomachenko Rd 3 - 10-9, Lomachenko Rd 4 - KO 30-26, Lomachenko at the time of the stoppage.

Pipino Cuevas - Angel Espada II Round 1: 10-9 Cuevas Round 2: 10-8 Cuevas (Cuevas scores a knockdown) Round 3: 10-9 Cuevas Round 4: 10-9 Espada Round 5: 10-9 Cuevas Round 6: 10-9 Espada Round 7: 10-9 Cuevas Round 8: 10-10 Even Round 9: 10-10 Even Round 10: 10-10 Even Round 11: 10-9 Cuevas Round 12: Espada could not answer the bell for the 12th round with a broken jaw Total through 11 completed rounds - 108-103 Cuevas Official scores were 106-104 Cuevas, 104-104 Even, 108-106 Espada. Don't know what fight that last official was watching but can't quite see that one, even by giving Angel the three even rounds. To begin, Espada really is a beautiful fighter to watch, but he was up against a force of nature in Cuevas. Cuevas will just plug away throwing bombs for however long the fight lasts and couldn't care less if he missed 4 if he could land one. The rounds I gave Espada he fought brilliantly using the ring and going in and out with beautiful counters. And some of those counters would have taken out a lesser man. Amazing that I had 3 consecutive rounds even but that was how the tide was rolling. By the 10th round, although I scored the 10th even, more from Espada preventing Cuevas from doing anything, one could see Espada was really coming apart at the seams and it was just a matter of time. Good fight for purists and for those who also like a bit of mayhem.
Zolani Tete - Roberto Domingo Sosa Rd 1 - 10-9, Tete Rd 2 - 10-9, Tete Rd 3 - 10-9, Tete Rd 4 - 10-9, Tete Rd 5 - 10-9, Tete Rd 6 - 10-9, Tete Rd 7 - 10-9, Tete Rd 8 - 10-9, Sosa Rd 9 - 10-9, Sosa Rd 10 - 10-9, Sosa Rd 11 - 10-9, Tete Rd 12 - 10-9, Sosa 116-112, Tete Classic battle of slick boxing/counter-punching against constant aggression/workrate. 1st half was all Tete, 2nd half was very close but I thought Sosa edged it 4-2 on aggression & workrate. This fight easily could've been scored anywhere from 117-111 to 115-114 to Zolani Tete IMO. In summary, Tete was robbed.
Klitschko Vs Joshua. I didn't score the fight as I was far too hyped for it. This fight answered so many questions I had about Wlad. How would he stand up to a big puncher, someone who is a monster. What I saw impressed me so much. This fight solidified Klitschko's greatness for me. What a fight. I'd love a rematch.
finally got round to watching Fullmer vs Robinson III I had it 12-2 for Robinson it was a beautiful performance by Robinson
Just checked out a couple of controversial Scott LeDoux fights. Now, to begin, I never liked Scott LeDoux. I always felt he couldn't box, punch, duck and never really had the physical shape of a fighter. But I got to give him credit, the man had sheer guts and if you didn't bring your A-game, then the boogey-man was paying you a visit. Here we go against Ken Norton and Ron Lyle. Both of whom were past their primes but should not be a mark against LeDoux who came to fight. Round 1: 10-10 Even Round 2: 10-9 Norton Round 3: 10-9 LeDoux Round 4: 10-9 Norton Round 5: 10-9 Norton Round 6: 10-9 Norton Round 7: 10-9 Norton Round 8: 10-10 Even Round 9: 10-9 LeDoux Round 10: 10-7 LeDoux (2 knockdowns) Total: 95-95 Draw Norton was coming apart at the seams by the 8th round and despite the confusion in the 10th, LeDoux scored 2 knockdowns and to tell you the truth the fight should have been stopped. But it is what it is. Official scores were 95-94 Norton, 95-94 LeDoux and 95-95. I thought the draw was a good call, but I'm sure LeDoux felt hard done by. There was mayhem, he thought the fight was stopped but it went to the cards. Ron Lyle v Scott LeDoux (5 point must system) Round 1: 5-4 LeDoux Round 2: 5-5- Even Round 3: 5-3 LeDoux (LeDoux scored a knockdown and to tell you the truth, if anyone scores it 5-2 in his favor I wouldn't bat an eye because he battered Lyle the rest of the round) Round 4: 5-4 Lyle Round 5: 5-4 Lyle Round 6: 5-4 LeDoux Round 7: 5-4 Lyle Round 8: 5-4 Lyle Round 9: 5-4 LeDoux Round 10: 5-5 Even Total: 46-45 LeDoux Official scores were 46-45 and 45-44 for Lyle and 45-44 for LeDoux for a split decision in Lyle's favor. I'm curious how the rest of you saw that 3rd round. Would you go 5-3 or 5-2?

Joe Frazier vs. Joe Bugner This and the first fight with Ali is about the 2 best fights I've seen Joe Bugner involved in. Man, a little more fire in his tank and there is no question this guy could have gone further than he did. I scored this - according to the announcer Brent Musburger - on the English scoring of 5 points to the winner of the round and 4 3/4 to the loser. Round 1: Bugner Round 2: Bugner Round 3: Frazier Round 4: Even Round 5: Frazier Round 6: Even Round 7: Frazier Round 8: Frazier Round 9: Frazier Round 10: Frazier (scores a knockdown) Round 11: Frazier Round 12: Frazier Total: 59 1/2 - 57 3/4 for Frazier I scored the 10th round 5 - 4 1/2 for Frazier with the knockdown. But despite the onesidedness in rounds, Bugner really did put up a good fight. Pardon a second Joe Bugner fight, but as long as it was in my head I wanted to check out Bug's fight with Ron Lyle. Saw it back in the day and I was lucky watching it as an entire show back then, because the first fight was one of my all-time favorite fighters Armando Muniz fighting a 10 rounder against Antonio Leyva. And Muniz knocked Leyva kicking in the 1st round with two beautiful left hooks. Anyways, here we go. Ron Lyle against Joe Bugner, 5 point must system employed in Las Vegas. Round 1: 5-4 Lyle Round 2: 5-4 Lyle Round 3: 5-4 Lyle Round 4: 5-5 Even Round 5: 5-4 Bugner Round 6: 5-4 Bugner Round 7: 5-4 Lyle Round 8: 5-5 Even Round 9: 5-4 Bugner Round 10: 5-4 Lyle Round 11: 5-4 Lyle Round 12: 5-5 Even Total: 57-54 Lyle I just felt Lyle was the sharper hitter throughout although Joe had his moments. Officially, it was a split win for Ron and they utilized the novelty of posting their scores between rounds as well.
Knightandday, here was my score and summation from Lockridge-Gomez. A little closer than yours but we agree - robbery! Round 1: 10-9 Lockridge Round 2: 10-9 Gomez Round 3: 10-10 Even Round 4: 10-10 Even Round 5: 10-9 Gomez Round 6: 10-9 Lockridge Round 7: 10-9 Lockridge Round 8: 10-9 Lockridge Round 9: 10-9 Lockridge Round 10: 10-9 Lockridge (very close to being a 10-8 for Rocky) Round 11: 10-9 Gomez Round 12: 10-9 Gomez Round 13: 10-10 Even Round 14: 10-9 Lockridge Round 15: 10-9 Lockridge Total: 146-142 Lockridge The problem with fighting Gomez in Puerto Rico is that anything goes. He is pretty much allowed to do what he wants. All the low blows and holding didn't get as much as a caution from the ref. How did Duva agree to 3 latin judges appointed by the WBC? Was he not aware of what Gomez was allowed to do to Zarate? Was he not aware of the weight-rigging in the Davila and Ndukwu fights. Rocky was the champ. Duva should have dictated the conditions and the officials at least.
