I have and I have about 8 Norris fights lined up for the couple of days and that is one of them. I don’t have a strong memory of the fight outside of the ending. Looking forward to it

    Terry Norris vs Donald Curry

    @scartissue

Awesome fight, and while not a domination per say, I didn’t remember this being quite so one sided. I don’t like agreeing with Ledderman so when they showed his card after 5, a shutout for Norris and I had the same I was disappointed lol.

Rounds 2-3/5-6 are all very close but I still felt Norris edged those 4 and 1/4 comfortably. Round 7 was fun I had curry winning the round and still don’t know how I want to score it? I wrote down 10-9 (Norris) because I felt curry won the round but I think 10-8 Norris might be the right score?

By 8 age and fatigue had set in on Curry and it was over before it was over.

Curry had some decent parts of rounds but never got into enough of a rhythm to put this into question.

Fun 45 minutes of you are looking for something to do

Eder Jofre vs Jose Medel I

What a great fight! There are not many who can match skills with Jofre and hold their own, but Medel was such a man. The difference seemed to be the consequence of the heavier blows of Jofre adding up.

Most of this is fought center ring with both guys finding success probing and initiating as well as countering for some close back and forth where both guys had moments where the other was in trouble. Both found success unleashing a barrage that drove the other to the corner, and then both found success turning the tables with some great comebacks with their backs to the ropes.

Rounds 5/9 are epic and well worth the 30 minutes alone! In the 10th Eder drops Medal who is saved by the bell....but he can’t come out for 11 putting an end to this classic

Jose Medel vs Fighting Harada I

Very fun short fight to watch less than 20 minutes

Harada rushes right from the bell swarming Medel out of the gate, and Medel does not seem prepared or engaged or ready for the assault from Harada...till 30 seconds left in round 1, where he matches the intensity the round ends with both guys giving a respectful glove tap on the way to the corner.

Round 2 Harada back to smothering and overwhelming Jose. Jose has some nice shots of his own along the way but not much follow up outside of his strong jab.

Round 3 Harada back on him immediately but this time even though the Wild Harada rush looks good, Medal is picking many off, countering well with the jab and to the body...I scored it even but it might depend on whether you prefer the pressure and volume of Harada or the accuracy and timing of Medel.

    Round 4 missing....so sad

Round 5 Harada back in control, Medal lands some heavy shots perhaps the best of the round but I have a hard time scoring against the volume and pressure that Harada brought.

Round 6 the same for 60 seconds but Medal has Harada hurt bad with some great shots, Harada backs up but quickly engages although he would have been served better to clinch...but that’s not Harada’s style. Harada lurching In lacking pop on his punches now falls face forward and is down. Down again...down a 3rd time...all over Medel wins!

I should also note how cool it was to see Harada patting Medal on the back seconds after the fight congratulating him

Edit: does anyone know if round 4 exists?

    Gaby Canizales vs Louis Curtis

I like to post right after I watch rather than 4 hours later...oh well!

This is a very fun fight as both guys are trying to reestablish themselves in the title picture.

Feeling each other out in rd 1 Gaby seems to land more (neither guy lands much) and get a quicker feel for the range.

Rounds 2-8 some great back and forth with Curtis working a sharp jab, a nice straight right and has the quicker hands. Gaby is landing heavier and investing solidly in the body which the commentary does not even acknowledge.

Round 9 Gaby pours it on and takes a wide comfortable round, taking control of the fight.

Curtis battles back in 10 and they are both laying it on the line.

11-12 Gaby closes the show strong, and it looks like his investment to the body early pays off in these championship rounds.

Very fun fight that I don’t think ever gets talked about....we get 100’s of Orlando threads but Gaby seems to never get his due.

    1 Gaby
    2 Curtis
    3 Curtis
    4 Gaby
    5 Gaby
    6 Curtis
    7 Gaby
    8 Gaby
    9 Gaby
    10 Curtis
    11 Gaby
    12 Gaby

    Gaby 116-112

But this is not easy to score hence Gaby winning an MD

Rounds 2-4-5-7 I found very difficult to score.

If you have not seen this....or even worse if you have never watched Gaby fight check this out...not great, but a very good fun fight

Philly, I always loved that 9th round. Medel battered Jofre from piller to post and then got nailed almost at the bell. Wow!

Philly, you're going to think I'm lazy on this one. I scored this about a year ago and this is what I wrote at the time. Lets see if it holds up.

Gaby Canizales was one of my favorite fighters back in the day. Man, I loved watching him fight. Well, you guys are going to thank me for this one if you watch it. We're talking Gaby Canizales vs. Louis Curtis. What a pace these two set. Saw it back in the day, but the wait was well worth it to see it again. Here we go, 10 point must system.

    Round 1: 10-10 Even
    Round 2: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 3: 10-9 Curtis
    Round 4: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 5: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 6: 10-10 Even
    Round 7: 10-10 Even
    Round 8: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 9: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 10: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 11: 10-9 Curtis
    Round 12: 10-9 Canizales

    Total: 118-113 Canizales

This bout really depends on your preferences in scoring. Do you like busier taps or something with more heft. Again, this was fought at break-neck speed, so you'll have to decide in the field. hope you like it.

Gaby Canizales vs Miguel Happy Lora

Round 1 all feeling out w/little action causing a restless crowd to voice their displeasure...feel free to score it how you like I felt Gaby edged it,..but the judges scored for each guy with the 3rd scoring even so pick your poison.

    Round 2 brief and fun!

Lora comes out aggressive pressing the action catches Gaby and drops him with a quick left hook. Gaby sits there wisely taking the full count before getting up. Lora all over him looking for a quick finish, when Gaby lands a perfect shot and down goes Lora barely beating the count but he looks out on his feet. Seconds later Gaby drops him again and this time Lora can’t or won’t make the 10 count! All over

The Canizales brothers become the first brothers to simultaneously hold a title at the same time in the same weight class,

Worth watching just for the suspense of rd 2 and of course a little bit of a historical accomplishment

Philly, in light of your query on Raul Perez, I scored the second Perez v Canizales bout about a year ago. This is what I wrote.

Raul Perez vs Gaby Canizales II

Their first fight ended on a 9th round cut eye TKO for Perez in a bout which was said to be dead even at the time of the stoppage. Here they are for the title.

    Round 1: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 2: 10-10 Even
    Round 3: 10-9 Perez
    Round 4: 10-9 Perez
    Round 5: 10-9 Perez
    Round 6: 10-9 Perez
    Round 7: 10-9 Perez
    Round 8: 10-9 Canizales
    Round 9: 10-9 Perez
    Round 10: 10-9 Perez
    Round 11: 10-9 Perez
    Round 12: 10-10 Even

    Total: 118-112 Perez

This was a very fast-paced bout but Gaby could not solve that height and reach of Perez. I think they said Gaby was 5'5" 1/2 to Perez' 5'10". For a bantam that is Panama Al Brown dimensions. Still, it wasn't just height and reach. Perez could really handle a punch and this was why he was champ because Gaby got through with some killer blows, just not enough of them to take many rounds. Actual scores were 119-109, 116-112 and 117-109 all for Perez.
