So far today, a pair of 4th round knockouts. My nerves are still a bit frayed from last week and so Im trying to calm from what was a full week panic attack, so I might watch more fights as the day goes on.

Vinny Paz went berzerk at the end but it was a great action fight all along,

Laila Ali dominates a courageous (how else can you describe her, really?) Christy Martin.

    Joe Joyce vs Dereck Chisora

    R1 Chisora
    R2 Chisora
    R3 Joyce
    R4 Chisora
    R5 Chisora
    R6 Joyce
    R7 Chisora
    R8 Joyce
    R9 Chisora 10-8 unbelievable
    R10 Chisora

    97-92 Chisora

Sloppy as hell but what a fight a definite FOTY candidate and the heart shown from Chisora was unbelievable.

poor martin, dragged way up for this fight. I'm pretty sure I read she had weights in her pockets for the weigh in.

    The Pazienza KO was great.

Hope some good boxing watching (and whatever else you’re doing to take care of yourself) soothes your nerves. Panic attacks are absolutely no fun.

Haha, I got the same earlier this past week: had a test that showed positive, which my doctor explained turned out to actually be cancer about 50% of the time. That led to a more invasive procedure which turned up benign (after a few weeks of waiting).

Hopefully we’ll both live long and prosper @AntonioMartin1. Keep posting!

Glad you're both on the good side of your respective diagnoses. I also had a cancer scare in May, when what I thought might have been cancer in my neck due to a lump there on the right side ended up being a saliva gland stone the size of a marble (11 mm). It's still there. Haven't elected to have it removed yet, if I ever do.

Im glad its not cancer in your case.

But if you are not llike me and have a horrible case of White Coat Syndrome, Id say go and take care of the lump before it becomes more painful!

    God bless!

Oh believe me, white coat syndrome to the hilt here. Petrified of doctors.

The swelling was just due to an infection it caused, but two weeks of antibiotics cleared that up. Doesn't look now like anything is even there.

    Christy Martin defines courage.

She fought off a murderous husband (and manager/drug trafficker and blackmailer, probably among a lot of other things) who shot her and stabbed her four times, one cutting her leg to the bone and another puncturing a lung … and survived that.

When we talk about fighters having courage, she is alone at the top in my book. Just hanging in a fight where you’re getting hit a lot is nothing compared to that.

    Champions heart saved her life.

Totally agree. So glad she´s happy in life now. Husband total scumbag. Looks like they are going to make a film about her. Hope they do her justice. Here´s an article on the film:
