I was obviously joking nobber.

 

Just got done watching Tiger-Torres I from 1966. Interesting fight, but it had to have been a frustrating one from Torres' perspective, because this one seemed so winnable for him. He simply got outworked. He'd hide behind that peek-a-boo stance and let Tiger ambush him with largely harmless but points-scoring shots. Only on a few occasions (the fifth round the latter part of the eighth, and the 11th) did Torres exert his greater size and power and force Tiger back. He just didn't do enough of this.

Tiger, of course, was effective out of a slight crouch and knew how to fight a bigger man; flurrying, keeping him busy, and not standing there to wait for the counters. The decision in Tiger's favor was well-deserved.
Here's how I had it..........

Tiger: 1,2,4,6,9,10,13,14
Torres: 3,5,8,11,12,15
Round 7 even

 

Harada vs Caraballo


Round 1- 10-8 Harada, althought was a good round for Caraballo until the kd!

Round 2 - Caraballo too wild throwing wide shots without technique....Harada sharper, counter-punching the colombian with a good right hand... 10-9 Harada

Round 3 - Good jabs by Harada....better head movement....
Caraballo landing his weird punches, especially with the left....good right hand by Harada....close round, 10-9 Harada.....

Round 4 - Caraballo missing some punches....but landing good body shots and lefts to the head...
Harada stunned Caraballo in the last seconds of the round.......10-9 Harada, very very close....

Round 5- Fast punches by Caraballo, one right landed well....
Beautiful right hand by Harada !! The japanese working the body, with good combinations now....
Left by Caraballo....
Harada more active, 10-9 for him....

Round 6 - Harada parrying punches a bit...
Caraballo very mobile but without good balance....pretty even and was not a good round....Harada 10-9, unimpressive....

Round 7- First seconds of the round and Caraballo landing good punches....Good counter-punches by Harada in this round, nice right hand after Caraballo´s jab....
Another beautiful right by Harada.....the Japanese on the offensive landing another shots...
10-9 Harada, probably his best round !

Round 8- Both guys with good punches, but nothing relevant....
Wow, two good rights by Bernardo ! Caraballo getting the better of the action now.....
Very good left hook and uppercut by the colombian.....
10-9 Caraballo, no doubt...

Round 9- Caraballo´s uppercut is really good !!! Good right by BC....

Double jab and right ...and then some others solid shots by Bernardo....
His uppercut seems his best weapon.....

10-9 Caraballo, again without a doubt...

Round 10- Amazing right by Harada, countering Caraballo´s jab, always was his best punch during his career, great to watch he executing it.....Again at the end of the round he landed that punch....10-9 Harada !

Round 11-Nice body punches by Harada....
Caraballo´s Uppercut again !!! Caraballo lost a point for holding.....Some crazy shots by Caraballo, at least two of them landed......9-9...

Round 12- Good right by Harada !....Caraballo trying something with his weird punches....close round....10-9 Harada...

Round 13-Caraballo landed his uppercut, Harada answering with his right....
Another good right by MH......wow, hard left by Caraballo !
Close, 10-9 Harada, better punches and workrate....

Round 14- Right hand to the body by Harada...Caraballo looks a bit tired...
Combinations by Harada, good body work......10-9 Harada..

Round 15-Harada attacking with fast punches....missing most of them...Caraballo too tired to try something..........body punches by Fighting Harada putting Caraballo against the ropes.....over ! 10-9 Harada.....


A clear win for Harada.....however that wasn´t one of his best performances in my opinion.......
In Colombia there is people who say that was a robbery.....No ****ing way !! Fair win by Harada !

Harada 12 rounds (10-8 round 1) -2 rounds for Caraballo .....1 even...

 

Carabelllo looks good in that fight IMO

 

Looks good....he´s awkward, and throws wide punches, but he looks good....I agree...

 

The footage of he and Jofre isn't great, but what did you think of Caraballo there Vic?

 

His jab looks better there.....he was still missing too many punches, but he looks a bit better on the outside with his jab......

 

There is a story about Caraballo spending 3 days uninterrupted in a house with a bunch of hookers previous to the Jofre fight.....not sure how true it is.....but it´s a famous story about Jofre vs Caraballo....
