I searched the internet trying to find out what the official scorecards were at the time of stoppage. Boxrec provides scarce information about the fight, but I did find the old thread created by a former BF poster "Senor Pepe" in which he reviewed the fight.

He claims Duran weighed at 128 lbs, whereas Marcel weighed 130 lbs, so I guess they did fight at Super Featherweight after all. He also claims that official score at the time of the stoppage was the following:

Referee; Isaac Herrera.........87-85 (5-3-1 in Rounds) Roberto Duran
Judge; Harmodio Cedeno......86-85 (5-4-0 in Rounds) Roberto Duran
Judge; Juan Carlos Tapia......86-86 (4-4-1 in Rounds) Even

So depending on who wins the final round, fight could have ended with victory for Duran or a draw. Senor Pepe also had it 4-4-1 before the final round, although we scored rounds 4,7 & 8 differently.

Bobby Chacon vs Jose Luis Martin del Campo 2

    Rd 1: Del Campo
    Rd 2: Chacon
    Rd 3: Del Campo
    Rd 4: Del Campo
    Rd 5: Del Campo
    Rd 6: Chacon
    Rd 7: Del Campo
    Rd 8: Chacon
Chacon wins by 9th round TKO
My scorecard after 8 completed rounds: 5-3 Del Campo

Chacon's second fight following his unsuccessful attempt at capturing the NABF featherweight title against Ruben Olivares. Chacon and Del Campo actually met each other eight months earlier and that fight ended with Chacon's TKO win in the 3rd round, but it was against Del Campo that Chacon suffered his first knockdown of his career (there is a brief 1 minute video of their first fight on YT). In this fight, Chacon put on a less-than-stellar performance. His head movement was non-existent and Del Campo's left was giving him real problems. Only in the 8th round did Chacon manage to somewhat hurt his opponent and in the 9th round he put Del Campo down with a quick two punch combo. Del Campo got up on time, but the referee decided he was in no shape to continue.

Viy, Senor Pepe was an unusual one. I actually liked reading his posts to a point. He was always starting threads and providing material that he was obviously researching. Many times he would get something wrong and would own up to it when cited, but he had an abnormally intense hatred for Ali and would do anything to diss him at any time of the day. But he would do it in such a way as trying not to show his contempt, but to run him into the ground matter-of-factly just to see what would stick. Such as saying that it was Jean Pierre Coopman who ruined Ali (by picking Ali's absolute worst title challenger as the guy that ruined him) or that Ali ducked Bunny Johnson (a 180 lb. heavyweight). Again, just to see what would stick. I wonder if it was this kind of stuff that got him banned or something else.

Thanks for letting me know. I discovered his thread when I attempted to find out official scores for Duran-Marcel. I wonder what his source was, because nowhere else I managed to find that info. Perhaps he got it from an old boxing magazine ?

Chacon was always kinda inconsistent with his partying,if he actually trained and molded his style more like Barrera he might have ended up better.

I agree too. I thought the first Maidana fight was 116-112ish and the second was 117-111 range. Honestly, after rewatching Mayweather Castillo 1, I agree with you that his 3 so-called debatable wins were actually full fledged victories. Castillo 1, Maidana 1, and De La Hoya. And now I almost think De La Hoya was the closest to ever beating him even though I used to think it was the LEAST debatable out of the three! Floyd is not my favorite fighter and I have never been a huge Floyd supporter so I feel unbiased by saying this: Floyd’s undefeated record stands true to me, and he is in fact one of the all time greats. I don’t care about his ‘era’ being so called weak. Floyd is a top 10 ATG fighter in my opinion.

    Leonard Hearns 2

    1. 10-9 Leonard.
Wanted to go Tommy but Ray landed a few solid punches in the last min in a round not much landed.

    2. 10-9 Hearns

    3. 10-8 Hearns (Knockdown)

    4. 10-9 Hearns

    5. 10-9 Leonard

    6. 10-9 Leonard

    7. 10-9 Leonard
Again, wanted to give it to Tommy as he punched Ray up in the first minute, but Ray came back in the 2nd minute, and especially the 3rd minute.

    8. 10-9 Hearns
Gave it to Tommy but nobody really did anything but at least he was coming forward.

    9. 10-9 Leonard

    10. 10-9 Leonard

    11. 10-8 Hearns (Knockdown)

    12. 10-9 Leonard
Thought about a 10-8 here but Tommy did some real good work in the first minute to negate that extra point round.

    Final Score: 113-113 DRAW
7-5 Ray minus the 2 points makes the fight even.

Probably an unpopular score because majority of people I’ve seen or talked to think Tommy won. Either way it was a super close fight. Tommy just posed too much and was gassed in the later rounds. He did get the knockdown however but I only had him winning that round, and another round Ray took off after the 4th. Was a great fight honestly.

Certainly it’s close enough to call a draw in my book. Here’s my take from four or five years ago:

Ray Leonard vs. Thomas Hearns II on June 12, 1989, scheduled for 12 rounds in front of a crowd of 15,300 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for the WBC super middleweight crown.

Leonard, age 33, entered 35-1 (25) and weighs 160. He is guaranteed $13M.

    Hearns, 30, enters 46-3 (38) and weighs 162 1/2. His guarantee is $11M.

Leonard is a 3-1 favorite at the sports books. Odds on a draw are 15-1.

Interestingly, this is Ray’s fifth fight since their first meeting in 1981. Hearns has had 15 fights since that fight

This time, Hearns wears the gold Kronk trunks while Leonard is clad in red and white striped attire.

Round 1: Hearns 10-9 — Leonard moves around as in the first fight for about a minute and then settles down to hold his ground; He lands one good right whereas Hearns controls things with is jab and lands a few others blows to take it

Round 2: Hearns 10-9 — Tommy keeps working the jab and lands a solid right when Ray turns southpaw for a moment; Leonard throwing one shot at a time

Round 3: Hearns 10-8 — The Hit man lands a right that stuns Sugar Ray and puts him down with a glancing follow-up to the top of the head; Hearns rakes him along the ropes as he goes for the KO

Round 4: Hearns 10-9 — Several good exchanges, with Leonard starting to take over late in the round, but by that time Hearns has done enough to nip it

Round 5: Leonard 10-8 — Ray stuns Tommy with a right hand followed by a big hook and batters him the rest of the round

Round 6: Hearns 10-9 — Ray takes off the first 2 minutes, doing basically nothing after expending so much energy going for the stoppage the round before; Hearns wins the round by being busier

Round 7: Leonard 10-9 — Hearns comes on strong in the final minute but Leonard did more, especially to the body, over the first two minutes to put this one in his pocket

Round 8: Leonard 10-9 — Close round, not much happening but Ray is a tad busier

Round 9: Leonard 10-9 — This one is close until he last 30 seconds, when Leonard comes on strong to grab it

Round 10: Leonard 10-9 — Leonard has a big early part of the round and pulls even on my scoreboard

Round 11: Hearns 10-8 — Hearns tags Sugar with a big right and follows up with a left hook and another to put Ray on the canvas again; Tommy follows up on his advantage and pours it on for a big round

Round 12: Leonard 10-9 — The Motor City Cobra starts well but Leonard storms back and takes over, landing a lot of hard shots to the head and body in his last stand

    Result: Draw

    Cards: 113-112 Hearns, 113-112 Leonard, 112-112 even

    My card: Hearns 113-112

Of note: The tale of the tap for the first fight credited Hearns with an 8-inch reach advantage at 78 1/2 inches; this tale of the tape his reach is half an inch shorter and Ray’s wingspan has grown 4 inches, haha.

Hearns accepts the verdict but Ray later admits his rival should have gotten the decision.

Fun fight. They aren’t the same as they were in their primes but are no less competitive and committed to winning. Bravo.

    My card also.

Tommy Hearns v Sugar Ray Leonard II

    Round 1: 10-10 Even
    Round 2: 10-9 Hearns
    Round 3: 10-8 Hearns (scores a knockdown)
    Round 4: 10-9 Leonard
Round 5: 10-8 Leonard (very dominant round IMO)
    Round 6: 10-9 Hearns
    Round 7: 10-9 Hearns
    Round 8: 10-9 Hearns
    Round 9: 10-10 Even
    Round 10: 10-9 Leonard
    Round 11: 10-8 Hearns (scores a knockdown)
    Round 12: 10-9 Leonard

Total: 115-112 Hearns (actual scores: 113-112 Hearns, 113-112 Leonard and a 112-112 Even for a Draw. Also, Harold Lederman scored it 115-111 for Hearns)

Damn good fight. Two rounds that were really up to the beholder - I felt - was rounds 5 and 9. I rewatched round 5 after question-marking it and felt it should be a 2 point round for SRL for a very dominant round. However, round 9 I did not just give that to Leonard for stunning Tommy, because I felt Tommy was having a good round until then. Scoring that round Even felt accurate to me. Anyways, again, good fight.

@Flo_Raiden I checked out your recommendation today. Damn good 10-rounder.

    Louie Espinoza v Pancho Segura

    Round 1: 10-9 Segura
    Round 2: 10-9 Louie
    Round 3: 10-9 Louie
    Round 4: 10-9 Segura
    Round 5: 10-10 Even
    Round 6: 10-9 Louie
    Round 7: 10-10 Even
    Round 8: 10-9 Segura
    Round 9: 10-9 Segura
    Round 10: 10-10 Even

Total: 97-96 Segura (actual scores: 96-95 Espinoza and a 96-95, 96-94 both for Segura by split decision)

Flo, nothing wrong with the scores. In fact, it showed integrity by the hometown judges that they were clearly watching the same fight and gave it to the visitor over their hometown favorite. Regarding the fight, it was a study in Segura's workrate against Louie's short and sharp, pinpoint punching. By the 6th round it looked like Louie's tactics were seeing fruition as Segura's attack seemed to be petering out. But Pancho caught a second wind and/or Louie took his foot off the pedal because Pancho simply overwhelmed Louie down the stretch. All very close rounds and could see others coming up with different scores. But a damn good fight.

    Love Louie the Sharpshooter.

His right was savagely straight and laser-guided. Really gritty fight with Jorge Paez where I thought he brawled on the inside more than he needed or was wise, but he never hesitated to mix it up. That was just his nature.

Evander Holyfield v Bobby Czyz (10 rounds)

    Round 1: 10-9 Holyfield
    Round 2: 10-9 Holyfield
    Round 3: 10-8 Holyfield (standing 8-count)
    Round 4: 10-9 Czyz
    Round 5: 10-9 Holyfield
Czyz is retired after the 5th round claiming of a foreign substance in his eyes.

Total through 5 completed rounds: 49-45 Holyfield (actual scores not known)

I was never really a fan of Czyz but to tell the truth, most of his fights were exciting and I thought I would explore some more of his fights . I remember this fight well and there were some fierce exchanges during the 5 rounds - mostly from Holyfield - but Czyz did try. That 4th round was not a pity round, but I believe it had more to do with Vander taking his foot off the gas that round. The ending was strange, with Czyz claiming of a foreign substance in his eyes. referee Ron Lipton went so far as to rub Vander's gloves into his own eyes with no effect. Whatever it was, I was reminded of an old story from a co-worker who once lived next door to Ernie Terrell's father. He said he was talking to Terrell Sr. over the fence one day when Ernie showed up. The conversation went to the Ali fight and Ernie said Ali rubbed his eyes into the ropes. Terrell's father exclaimed, "The only thing that man rubbed in your face that night was leather!" Still laugh my arse off at that story.

    Erik Morales v Angel Chacon

This popped up in my YouTube feed so I watched it - didn’t take long and no need for a scorecard.

Brutal 2nd round KO from Morales that left Chacon in a severely groggy state for a while after. A highlight reel kayo if ever there was one.
