Thanks to @Flo_Raiden for recommending this.

Loris Stecca v Valerio Nati (European featherweight title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 2: 10-9 Nati
    Round 3: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 4: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 5: 10-10 Even
    Round 6: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 7: 10-10 Even
    Round 8: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 9: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 10: 10-9 Nati
    Round 11: 10-9 Stecca
    Round 12: 10-10 Even

Total: 118-113 Stecca (actual scores not known)

The first round was somewhat of an impersonation of a heavybag by Nati, so I was wondering what I was in store for for another 11 rounds. But Flo has never failed to come through and he didn't here. This bout picked up in the 2nd round and turned into one tight fight with the faster Stecca with more sting to his shots keeping on the outside, while Nati's plan was to get Stecca on the ropes where he unloaded on his countryman. Some very close rounds here and I enjoyed the contest immensely. One of the tightest I've seen between world-class domestic rivals.

I never saw someone replicate Hagler's strategy vs Hearns until I saw Hamada, sure he was sloppier and wasn't as hard and accurate, but he nailed the job perfectly and the ending is literally the PG version of Hagler vs Minter:lol:

Azumah Nelson v Calvin Grove (jr. lightweight title)

    Round 1: 10-8 Nelson (scores a knockdown)
    Round 2: 10-9 Grove
    Round 3: 10-9 Grove
    Round 4: 10-9 Grove
    Round 5: 10-10 Even
    Round 6: 10-9 Nelson
    Round 7: 10-10 Even
    Round 8: 20-9 Nelson
    Round 9: 10-9 Nelson
    Round 10: 10-9 Nelson
    Round 11: 10-10 Even
    Round 12: 10-9 Nelson

Total: 117-113 Nelson (actual scores: 115-112, 116-111 and 114-113 all for Azumah)

Not a scintillating bout by any means, but it was interesting to see if Grove could keep up boxing on the run that he was doing early in the fight. Nelson was such a good hitter that the Grove people clearly orchestrated this plan, which was a good plan seeing as how Grove never had the best set of whiskers. But he fought Nelson to the wire, here.

It might be a coincidence too that Hamada lost to a slick guy in Rene Arredondo, which means piston Honda actually lost vs Don Flamenco

    A few observations:
I dont understand Japanese either, except hai! (yes) and champion....they kept repeating those words! And you can hear the Japanese commentator say "I am number one!" in Spanish after the fight!! (yo soy #1!):lol::lol::lol:

Also, this time when the fans threw stuff, including toilet paper, at the ring, they were not happy lol..

Bobo Olson v Johnny Persol (NY scoring)

This was a damn good fight with brisk exchanges, good body work and two fighters who were playing for the audience. Most every exchange, however, I felt Persol came out on top. Not looking at the result beforehand, I felt this was anyone's fight. Especially the way it began in the first round. Olson didn't do a lot that round but he did catch Persol with two of the sharpest left hooks I've seen and I thought it was going to be a good one. And it was but I thought Johnny was so much sharper. I should mention the weight didn't look good on Bobo, compared to his middleweight days. Anyway, the only round I gave Bobo was the 5th for a 9-1 card for Persol (actual scores: 9-1, 6-4 and 5-5 for a majority win for Persol).

I thought it was a draw or a close win for Persol, Bobo did enough infighting to convince me at least, and Bobo was past his prime too.

SRV vs Juan Francisco Estrada I

Great battle between 2 of the best from the lower weight classes, I thought Rungvisai dominated rounds 3-7 landing the harder punches, estrada came back down the stretch but just didn't do enough to win the fight in my eyes.

    115-113 SRV

    Estrada rounds. 1, 2, 8, 9, 12
    SRV rounds. 3, 4, 5, 6 , 7, 10, 11.

Roman Chocolitito Gonzalez vs SRV I

Another close battle here, but in this particular fight I thought Chocolitito should have been given the nod. I had it 114-112 for Roman Gonzalez.

    Chocolitito rounds: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6*, 8, 12
    SRV rounds: 1*, 7, 9, 10, 11.

*Rounds* signify a 2 point round for both fighters. Round 1 was scored a KD for SRV. Round 6 SRV was deducted a point for headbutt.

Kevin Pompey v Santos Cardona (some crap welterweight title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Cardona
    Round 2: 10-10 Even
    Round 3: 10-9 Cardona
    Round 4: 10-9 Cardona
    Round 5: 10-10 Even
    Round 6: 10-9 Pompey
    Round 7: 10-9 Cardona
Round 8: Cardona drops and stops Pompey

Total through 7 completed rounds: 69-66 Cardona (actual scores not known)

Thanks to @BoxingJournals for putting this on our radar. What a war! Every punch designed to take the other's head off. And believe me, there was ample. A shot to the temple laid waste to Pompey in the 8th. He made it up but was in no shape to continue. A fantastic fight and the crowd was appreciative of the combat.

Juan Diaz vs Paulie Malignaggi I

I had Paulie winning a Close fight 7-5. It was fought on even terms after 8 rounds, the judge who had it 118-110 was smoking something that's for sure . Anyways it was a good fight, and in the end I can understand Paulie outrage.

    115-113 Paulie Malignaggi.

    Diaz rounds: 2, 4, 5, 7, 12
    Malignaggi: 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11
