I don't know where I saw this fight mentioned but I penciled it in sometime back and don't know who to thank for it. Believe me, it's 12 rounds of neat boxing and crisp exchanges throughout. I really enjoyed it.

Donnie Hood has been in some good scraps. Check out his fights with Samuel Duran and Brian Holmes when you get the chance.

I wanted to watch and score the second fight between Julio Cesar Chavez and Meldrick Taylor last night, but couldn't find it. Anyone have a link to the full fight?

Me too, but I have an alternative.

Put an apple and an orange in a blender, push them all the way to the bottom, fill to the top with ice and turn on high.

    Then score that.

If you know how to use a VPN, that'll fix it for you. You can change which country your computer/network is based on and it'll work. It's pretty straightforward and you can get a good one for free with Opera.

Myung Woo Yuh v Hiroki Ioka (Lt. flyweight title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 2: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 3: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 4: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 5: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 6: 10-10 Even
    Round 7: 10-9 Yuh
    Round 8: 10-9 Yuh
    Round 9: 10-9 Yuh
    Round 10: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 11: 10-9 Ioka
    Round 12: 10-9 Yuh

Total: 116-113 Ioka (actual scores: 115-113 and 117-112 both for Ioka and a 115-113 for Yuh for a split win for Ioka)

Saying I might be entertained by a Yuh fight is as redundant as saying I might be bored during a Bernard Hopkins fight. This bout was nearing the end of Yuh's career but of course it became life or death, especially in the second half of the bout. Ioka was a real revelation. He came in with a real strategy and had the tools to back it up. Ioka was very strong, had a ram-rod of a jab and clearly was following a game plan of keeping Yuh on the outside with the jab while using some brilliant footwork to keep the distance from the shorter Yuh, who could not get close enough to unload. Yuh picked it up in the second half, likely because he was getting picked apart and Ioka was probably tiring a bit because Yuh started rushing his way in for his first bit of success. There were some tighter rounds in that second half but I was content with my score. Outstanding fight and I want to see part 2.
