Oh, Toney is even more masterful with the roll then floyd. Btw if it wasn't for James Toney and that granite chin, my man Nunn might still be undefeated . I beg the ESB nation that if they haven't seen the purest and cleanest ko's of all time, then check out Michael "2nd To" Nunn. Only Tommy Hearns comes to mind with the timing of leverage from pure destruction like that. Even G-man Mcclellan couldn't generate that kind of G and turn his gloves over to create the perfect box at impact like a Nunn, Marciano or Hitman Hearns.
Bar from the Kalambay fight (caught cold) I'd say Nunn was pretty feather fisted. Nothing more than a 'decent' puncher IMO.
There were three. All available.Chang looks great in the first and third, dodgy in the second. Kalambay was the best at countering out of a roll with the uppercut imo.had it down to a fine art.
I watched a few clips of this young upstart Cayo. I saw early shades of Roy but a bit more orthodox and technical then superman in the way Cayo fought his last fight. Not a bad little bandwagon to jump on as the kid has some serious hardware in that toolbox. If he continues to progress and learns a Sweet Pea type of noble art defense added to his athleticism and the way he pops with the straight; damn right, I see him outboxing a lot of power guys including Maidana. Maverick Kosaros (I know you like him) make room on that Cayo F14 for Slip - I just jumped on as well.
I will be spending the rest of the night watching the following. Chi v Brodie 1, Williams v Martinez (again), Vazquez v Jhonny G and some Corrales and some Gatti.
A recent one Marquez vs Diaz. You've gotta love Juan Manual, what a warrior. I coulda done with out JMM trying to be witty and inferring that because Diaz is 50% American then he doesn't have the "heart" of 100% Mex Marquez, but if you can back it up in the ring then more power to you. Nacho must be the most underrated trainer because if you can gameplan for ko's of polar opposite styles and matchups like Casamayor and Baby Bull, then you got my vote less his one fight stint with Kangaroo meat diet ODLH lol.
Oh what a fight! My overriding memory of InJin Chi was El Terrible boxing his ears off with one eye, Morales could do no wrong for me after that, just wish he wasn't so damn emotional, but i guess thats one of the reasons i have a soft spot for him.
Vargas vs De la Hoya. I don't give that much credit to Oscar here as Tito had already ruined Fernando. Although i think DLH would always beat Vargas, but maybe not in that dramatic fashion. The low blow was classic. Lol. Btw if Vargas would have just kept his spiked front mullett on instead of shaving it, I think he could have won like 3 more fights, lol. the front mullett was a nice distraction from the winstrol v and stacking of hgh, and that Ham-n-Eggs journeyman still couldn't win the big fights with the help of UpJohn Inc, the leader in all your anabolic needs.
