I think Showtime's commentary team is the best in the world right now (narrowly ahead of RTE's commentary team). Last night I watched: Leapai vs Beck - decent enough scrap. I was kind of rooting for both, as I like Leapai, but a loss may have spared Danny Williams from being sacrificed to him. Mares vs Almanza (good performance, as Mares systematically breaks down Almanza) Wilson vs Ochoa (Wilson quite unlucky to get a draw) Rios vs Ledesma (Rios looks a decent prospect)
Just watched Marvin Hagler v Tony Sibson...:good Hagler once said that the hardest punch he ever took was from..."A man from Leicester, England, called Tony Sibson"
Thank **** for that...i've done 3 downloads of various sorts for that fight and the quality has been ****. I was going to ask Gazoc to re-up his version but don't need to bother now...thanks for the heads up :thumbsup
Vasquez-gonzalez again. For the first 6 rounds youd think jhonny was going top go on to being a pound for pound candidate. Love that fight but I still aint sure bout the stoppage. I think his corner could have given him more time
watched that fight the other week. only got to izzy fights left in my boxset then starting my tito 1:good
Love the commentry on that last round and what a round!! Just been watching the 2 Gatti/Robinson fights, what a scrap and what a legend
You being serious?? There commentary team make the Irish lads on here seem impartial the Dunne v Ponsawat was most embarrassing commentry I have come across.
I was at the Poonsawat and Cordoba fights but when rewatched them the commentary is classic with how biased they are. They ****ing screamed the arena down when Dunne dropped Cordoba in the 3rd but when he got dropped twice in the 5th it was complete silence for like 30 seconds. And then the Poonsawat fight MacCauley going ''Dunne is fighting exactly the way he shou................oh no!'' atsch
"I didn't see a punch again" (Dunne floored for the 2nd time against Poon) "The old Muhammad Ali phantom punch" "Now I'm not being a racist, but..." Yes, I am being serious
Hopkins vs Tarver. How do you like the "chintucking" by Hopkins in this fight? You know he would eat dinner with his chin tucked so it becomes a creature of habit? How about the hip shots he gave out on the blindside of the ref so he couldn't warn him lol If you don't enjoy that as a boxing fan the UFC is calling you. I'm a ***** for fundamentals and I'm mad I have to wait so long to study again lol I've always found Tarver's style strange, he was slow but had this really good timing whilst holding his arms up like John McCain. lol
Wednesday Night Fights (is it a permanent return?) Anyway, Erislandy Lara headlined a card from Louisiana on ESPN and got a nice KO. Angulo won't touch this southpaw with a barge pole, so maybe K9 and Steward fancy a run at the Cuban Invasion.
