That was a masterclass by Roy. It's always hard watching someone as technically sound as Toney, get beat by a man doing chicken moves, LOL! But if anyone tells you Roy Jones was a dumb fighter or he didn't have good boxing IQ, just make them watch that fight...look closely at how Roy completely plays on James Toney's biggest weakness. This fight had a big effect on James.

Recently been watching most of Froch, Abraham, Marquez and Katsidis fights. Best of the bunch has to be Katsidis v Earl. His fight against Casamayor was also a great one not to mention Froch-Pascal, Froch-Kessler, Marquez-Diaz I, Marquez-Casamayor and Abraham-Miranda I. With this many great fights over the past 2 or 3 years, we really have got the boxing night of the year this saturday when the four of them combine.

I know what you mean. Us boxing fans are so similar at times. I remember i never fully forgave Terry Norris for beating Ray Leonard, always held a grudge against him, even though i really liked his style.

What a finisher Terry Norris was. Just a beast at 154. Never liked him calling out smaller fighters though, he could be a bully at times.

 

It's frustrating really because he had so, so much ability. He was also an excellent finisher like you said. He could have been so much more IMO.
