when people always favour the old fighters, and the reason they rate them higher ATG's, i always put it down the fact they always fought the best there was to offer, none of this cherry picking shite, but im halfway through my salvador sanchez boxset and imn like WOW. :deal

only thing thats got me so far with him is sometimes they just bang him on the chin but then other times he just slips punches with such ease, u think he's unhittable:huh

 

Just watched Bradley-Campbell. Some good body shots and inside work from Timmy. I think I found out where that little ring they have on Ringside came from though.

 

Boxing is the ultimate game of rock, paper, scissors. So it depends on the style he was fighting, but also because he wasn't risk averse even though he was technically brillient. He struggled a tad bit in the Cowdell and Ford fights though.

When you're throwing a lot of punches, especially power punches you're always gonna be more susciptable to getting hit, even if you're as well rounded as Salvador Sanchez. That's why it's very rare to get great offensive and defensive fighters. Even Mayweather couldn't do it, he understands this that's why he only throws about 40 punches a round. Sanchez was more often then not trying to swim against the tide.

He was just ridiculous though, the nearest i've seen to Ray Robinson. He had almost no weaknesses and was just a boxer-punching sage. He beat 3 Hall of Famers and had already established himself as an all time great at 23. Incredible!

Bowe's bigger punches and flurries against Tubbs's back-foot jabbing, counters and mobility. I quite enjoyed it, and scored it a 95-95 draw.

yeah it was for me his best performance when you put the calibre of opponent and the big problems he obviously suffered in the espinosa fight which was his next and last fight.
