    Carlos Zarate Vs Alberto Davilo

    Carlos Zarate Vs Andres Hernandez

Patient start from Zarate, looking at picking his shots off. He cut the ring off nice as Hernandez spent most of the fight running on the back on was only open to exchanging when backed to the ropes. Probably a wise thing to do the much bigger Zarate would of stopped him earlier imo. Stoppage came in the 13th due to a cut, his face was well beaten as well.

    Carlos Zarate Vs Emilio Hernandez

Just about to watch Holyfield vs Valuev, haven't seen the fight, but I hear Holyfield was unlucky to get the nod.

    Morales-Barrera.

What a ****in fight. How they kept it up I will never no. The 5th round was one of the best if not the best I have ever seen in boxing. Thought Barrera did enough to win though.

i think the pure hatred for each other got them through the last few rounds.

    Carlos Zarate Vs Wilfredo Gomez

Zarate moved up to super Bantam to challenge Puerto Rico ATG Wilfrdo Gomez for the WBC title. Despite the move up Zarate had to take 3 or 4 trips back to the scales. I'm pretty sure these were the days of the same day weigh in so must of felt weak fight night. I think Gomez had to take 1 trip back. Very cagey opener to the fight wil Gomez landing 1 or 2 noticably shots. The fight picks up abit towards the end of the second, and some good exchanges in the 3rd. The only other fight i seen Gomez in was getting pummelled by Salvador Sanchez:yep. Looks to have a pretty lethal left hook, puts he shots together nicely to. Seems a mean lil' ******* when after knocking Zarate down for the 2nd time in the forth, as he was getting up hit him again. He done the same in round 5, again the left hook causing the damage and had Joe Cortez been ref'n could have been DQ'd.
