Barrera v Morales 1 - Haven't watched the fight again in years. Very close fight could have gone either way by a round. That Shirley card was awful.

Ola Afolabi v Eric Fields - Cracking fight this one, one of the best phone-booth wars I had seen in a while with both fighters slugging away for the full fight. Ola is one of the best 'on the ropes' fighters around, he can look so comfortable laying on the ropes while the other guy is throwing countless bombs at him. Too much clowning around and lack of focus made this a tougher fight than it needed to be for Ola but it made for a better fight though. Fields looks a handy fighter too, speedy and powerful. Well worth a watch to anyone who hasn't see it.

Bob Satterfield v Nino Valdes - Nice performance from Satterfield, boxed really nicely and put a beating on the big Cuban. Severly unimpressed with Valdes though, very slow and basic.

Choi v Matthews I - First time rewatching it, really was a brutal performance from Choi on Derry. Hunting him down from the first bell landing countless bombs, remembered thinking it was all to the body from Choi but the overhand rights were the shots to break Derry down. Derry showed good heart though.

    Luis Concepcion - Herman Marquez

Been meaning to get round to watch it for absolutely ages and I was stupid not to watch it on the day. FOTY there is no other contenders. It would have to be an amazing fight to surpass this, even with a bit of a rubbish ending.

    Roy Jones vs. James Toney.

This is one of the best and smartest performances i've ever seen. Roy was just on a different planet and he showcased his brillient boxing brain.

I love the way Roy stepped across Toney on his left side to negate the shoulder roll and was spinning and ending up behind Toney. Everytime Toney rolled his shoulder Roy would step across and James would be blinded and not see where Roy was. Roy was also taking some of the power off his shots and not fully committing with the right hand. He figured out that being a master counter puncher Toney would need Roy to punch with full force and really commit for him to take advantage. Roy would shot a right hand and then spin Toney. What a masterclass.

    The Dejesus fights
    Duran vs. Bizzaro
    vs. Barkley
    vs. Mamby
    vs. Palomino
    vs. Davey Moore

Not all the same or vintage Duran, but you'll see something different in all.

Lampley mentions right at the start of that first vid that Roy had hurt his right hand in training, as well. Not to detract from what you said but more proof of what a stunning performance it was:good

I'm having a mare remembering names tonight...

Watch the trilogy against Esteban DeJesus or someone whose name was very similar!

Brandan Rios v Miguel Acosta: probably the first full fight I've seen of Rios, he maybe a bit of a ***** outside the ring but he has a very fan friendly style of boxing always coming forward and has a great chin. Acosta also impressed me, he controlled the beginning of the fight and I had him winning by a round going into the 10th. Assuming Rios wins against Antillon i wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

However at 11.55 of this video just when i thought i might become a fan of Rios he goes and does this incredibly weird celebrating scream which just made me lose all respect for him
